prlnsl The biggest and most obvious mistake a person can make in an eating contest is to eat slow because it takes time for the human body to recognize when it’s full. So if you eat fast you can eat more before your body has a chance to realize it’s getting full. Notice how fast Eugene was eating compared to the other Try Guys and how he ate the most... it’s not an Asian thing. It’s all about technique.

my brother has something similar to that. he was born with a disconnect between his stomach and his brain, so for the first 7-8 years of his life, he never knew he was hungry and therefore he wouldn't eat. we had to basically make him eat bc we knew that if he didn't, he'd end up dead.

I don't remember the name of the condition but basically this man had to tie his brother's wrists to a chair to stop him from eating.
