It’s funny how we thought how fancy Olive Garden was growing up.. but for real my dad was a cook there and when he died unexpectedly when I was 9 they catered all the food after his funeral for free, raised money, gave my mom so many gift cards to grocery stores to get by… and they also had the best Christmas parties I ever remembered. When they called to try to get their money back and apologize for never picking up the order, not only did olive garden give them a full refund but they also catered the funeral at a huge discount. It's interesting as a kiwi, even the differences between countries for foods too, though we don't have most of the restaurants shown here. Just KFC and Burger King, and those are almost totally different menus. Well and McDonald's but that I think wasn't a part of this series.
