It’s funny how we thought how fancy Olive Garden was growing up.. but for real my dad was a cook there and when he died unexpectedly when I was 9 they catered all the food after his funeral for free, raised money, gave my mom so many gift cards to grocery stores to get by… and they also had the best Christmas parties I ever remembered. This was the 90’s so I don’t know how things are now.. but the OG holds a place in my heart 💚

When my teenage cousin died unexpectedly my aunt and uncle had placed a to-go order at olive garden that night that they never picked up. When they called to try to get their money back and apologize for never picking up the order, not only did olive garden give them a full refund but they also catered the funeral at a huge discount. Olive Garden really does treat people right.
