The 3E AVCI is a full feature Elcan analog that is produced for the Turkish military.
However 3E seems pretty interested in selling to the US market.
How'd it hold up?

Well, that's a good sign their listening to feedback. Would love to see something like this come to market. I can get past the 1x and clarity issues. IMO, the clarity doesn't seem to be that big of an issue, same with the 1x. But the POI shift and the breaking of plastic parts from dropping, is a big turn off. Hopefully they'll get that sorted out. the Doctors Cut only is unfortunate, but can be dealt with. would still prefer a RMR cut.

As far as I can tell, it’s no longer in production. Doesn’t matter much though, it is *significantly* less durable than the ACOG, so yeah it’s basically like buying what is essentially a fake ACOG and you’re trading off durability to save $40 😂

I'm not fan at all of elcan or any optic w external adjustment due to susceptibility to loss of zero from foreign matter interfering with zeroing screws and mating surface of that screw top to flats. For example if dirt, debris, or mud gotten splattered on optic underside and then as I shoot the optic does it usual spring loaded hops under recoil. (those optic leave and return to zero every time you shoot or touch it. The optic will wiggle if you wiggle it and the zero wiggle away only to return to zero under spring tension as soon you let go of it.) but as it leave zero the space between adjustment screw tip and plate is open and easily occupied by foreign matter. Now if I get spattered with mud then I shoot few time every time I shoot the optic hops and sand/mud creep toward adjustment screw only to get under adjustment screw at one of time the optic hops and now when optic want to return to it's home position it cannot because mud occupy the space and now the zero is lost.

Wasn't expecting negative magnification. Cmon gen 2. And really a plastic mount. Cmon turkey.

Considering the shittiness of the mount and how easily it moves and loses zero its closer to a modern reproduction of the SUIT scope than the Elcan.

Well, it certainly beats the Elcan when it comes to packaging. $2,000 and the couldn't be bothered to stick a piece of foam in the cardboard box, lol. I guess it shows they're confident in the durability.

well I'd rather imagine a variant that worked first. The reticle is by far the least of the issues (I actually quite like the reticle)
