Pretty cool concept that 100bb is pure check back and 200bb is betting because of the reraise option for BB on the turn - great video!
@ZZeLLinus8 сағат бұрын
this is crazy to me. to be PURE you know. as a tournament player who plays 20-40bb 90% of the time, even always studying I still see 100 and 200bbs as roughly the same. Wouldnt expect such drastic aproach from the solver. I dont think I can mention something I would do with 200 bbs that I would NEVER do with 100. This is truly crazy to me. Solvers and poker theory really are uncanny

Your content is amazing, I used to play a lot of poker NL50 and NL100 in 2009 to 2014. I did pretty well back then for the stakes (Poker paid all the bills), But right now I would like to climb higher in the stakes playing occasionally.

That's cool. I think a lot of the old intuition spiced up with a good amount of theory should work well

Aren’t these sims somewhat exploitable though? I mean, in the deeper sims, you can just bomb with bluffs and thin value relentlessly whenever u have a heart blocker, given that the 200bb sim demands for you to x/r your good hands OTT or OTF. The 100bb sim seems more balanced and protected, when it should be the inverse the deeper the stacks get in order to counter act positional, range and stack depth disadvantage. Thoughts?

Why are there two Linuses at the table?
@Vlozh3 күн бұрын
Also wondering this. Definitely thought its the same person :D
@2CardConfidence3 күн бұрын
Linus Loeliger is the real Linus as he uses his real name. The other one simply used a similar screen name
@notbot45253 күн бұрын
@@2CardConfidence it's probably just for fun amongst them, but that could potentially be kind of scummy The chansey avatar and that spelling is basically exactly what Linus always had (before becoming a named player)

@2cardconfidence Wouldn’t that hand specifically be a perfect bluff option? A of hearts and one Ten

It could definitely bluff jam too. Would be mostly calling and sometimes jamming in theory

Great content! just a doubt, would you think pop in small or mid stakes would be more capped on the river than in theory (would raise more sets and fd) so betting still would be correct at 100bb?
@2CardConfidence2 күн бұрын
Yes great point and it's a thought I hoped to spark with the video. I think lower sets for sure raise more often on flop and turn than the solver. And I'm positive TT surely raises turn more often on average (which is not hard since the solver never raises). But then it also comes down to how often population calls river with worse and I think that would be less than the solver. So getting 50% of worse hands to call is still very close either way I believe

Those are high level play which the concept is good to know but the action is pretty bad in lower stake. Remember to apply the concept and not the action.
