I am going to write a book. I want it to be about you. I have multiple series I am working on. They are all a deconstruction of the Isekai concept. There are going to be five series to cover everything. I'm up to the third, the fifth will be about you. You see, in Isekai, there is this sub-genre. When you die, you wind up transmigrated into the last book you read. Given how terrible the books are that you read, Alizee, I have a feeling that would be the stuff of nightmares. Exactly why it will be about you. I'm thinking ahead. The last one is going to be called K-A. The name of the main character. Pronouced Kaydasha. The main character of a YA Dystopian Novel called Twilight of the Divergent Games. It is a world where AR (Augmented Reality) games have become very popular, but part of these AR games involve 'virtual damage' being translated into physical pain that knocks the player out. This augmented Reality technology combined with pain feed back is called (DR) Divergent Reality instead of VR or AR. The story is about the ONE TRUE SAVIOR who stops the barbaric practice of DR games. or Doctor Games, as they say with In-World slang. So it is the TWILIGHT of the DIVERGENT GAMES. Get it? K-A has a neurological condition where she is in constant pain from diabetes (I just find getting your super powers from diabetes to be f'n hysterical.) damaging her nerves and causing her skin to feel like it is on fire 24/7. However, she is allergic to any pain medication that might actually relieve her suffering. She is so used to being in agony, that by some strange quirk of fate, the ''pain damage' in the game actually makes her neurological pain go away when she is injured. Thus, she is the ultimate player of these DR games. That's right! Her superpowers are BEING IN CONSTANT AGONY and MASOCHISM! I want to get a fairly good outline of the absolutely WORST aspects of YA Dystopian Future Novels, and YA FL Novels in general. I want to draw inspiration from 365 Days, 50 shades of grey, Twilight, Divergent, Hunger Games, Empress Theresa, 5th wave, Vampire Academy and anything else I can think of that is really really bad. I won't write out the whole story, because that's not the real novel. Because a normal person gets stuck in this character's body. A KZbinr who's channel is about reviewing really bad novels. Do you mind? I will most likely just publish it to scribble hub, so don't expect any money to be made off of it, but I think you'd be the perfect fit. I mean, you don't have to do anything, but I would love to occasionally send chapters to you and have you respond with all your heart felt sarcasm.

I'm going to be insanely generous - because I genuinely don't think she's that good of a writer - but you could say that Bella is like a fine wine to the other vampires, they would enjoy drinking her as a special treat, and that's that. However, Edward is addicted to Bella herself, her blood is part of that, it's also about his inability to read her mind, etc., but she's dangerous for him because she's human and could be the death of him. Making her more like* heroin for him. But again, I'm pulling deeper meaning from my own head.

Fun fact: I remember rereading sections of the first paperback edition of Eclipse to compare it to this book. (I was 12 and obsessed...) Smeyer retconned the gender of the last vampire that's left of the newborns to fit Bree in. That character was referred to with male pronouns multiple times so I don't think it was a typo. I don't own that copy anymore and they obviously changed it in the subsequent issues so I can't reconfirm it.

@lagggoat7170
@lagggoat7170 2 жыл бұрын
@@somethingsomething7468 YES! And you could play that for additional stakes so easily! Make all vampires afraid of fire cuz if they ever have even the littlest bit of vampire body fluid (spit, tears, ANYTHING) near an open flame they might explode (the fire quickly spreading through ducts or mouth and throat, if it hits the (obviously interconnected!) blood vessels close enough to ignite them KABOOM). Also exploding vamps could hurt nearby non-vampire allies with the shrapnel, or even vampires themselves! The fire part of the explosion might even ignite other nearby vampires. Any fire-powered vampire is treated like a mix of bomb and god, because they could redirect flames or directly blow up enemies. Man I want THAT Twilight, not the teen girl thirsts for old man one.
@lagggoat7170
@lagggoat7170 2 жыл бұрын
Also it would make the body disposal of enemy vamps wayy more dangerous, as they could (literally!) spark a chain reaction, killing the good vamps as well or even leading to a local catastrophe (considering how wooded forks is). You could even extrapolate more from that, maybe vampires are drawn to humid, wet or cold environments because it makes them safer from igniting (anyone remember the scuba vampire tumblr post??)
@lagggoat7170
@lagggoat7170 2 жыл бұрын
Man my ideas are flowing now. You could double down on the stone aspect as well, have turning people slowly petrify, then be full statues for a bit (a very vulnerable state if a vampire hunter with a big hammer were to come by before the stone reaches full diamond-indestructible levels!) and only then slowly break loose as they start to be the walking flammable statues full vampires are.

It's called "The Sound" because that's what it technically is. To use how Wikipedia phrases it, the Puget Sound is "a sound of the Pacific Northwest, an inlet of the Pacific Ocean, and part of the Salish Sea." So "The Sound" refers to a very specific area, not just the sea as a whole.

The way vampires can become strongly attached to each other very quickly may speak to the weird mentality of them being a different species, and that could be interesting in a more capable author's hands. But the problem is she does this with the humans too, so it doesn't really feel like a unique species trait. Just a shallow (and toxic) view of love at first sight with no real substance.

~Conspiracy theory time~ I can't be bothered to look up the actual dates but I'm pretty sure Edward was supposed to be based on Gerard Way looks-wise and Gerard dyed their hair red at one point.. I wonder if this was written around the same time and Smeyer wanted the hair to match lmao consistency be damned

The title is very accurate... I legitimately had no recollection of this book, and i read it at least twice in middle school. I'm equal parts "how did I forget something this bad" and "thank god I forgot this, it's so bad."

I remember..yessssssssss... it’s was that stupid side story about that little girl who's name had to do with um, cheese; and she was really mousy (see…) cheese + mousy = boring cheese vampire with s short book. I did read the short book, but I remember the character more from the movie (eclipse).

The fact that Edwards hair color was wrong is hilarious to me. I'm going with the belief that no one cared enough to actually edit this book. Because surely someone would have caught that if an editor had reviewed it????

I would think that if you write a massive story with all the the fancy worldbuilding lore, you'll have character profiles stashed somewhere for references. But I don't know how they wrote the Twilight fic so I don't even know if an "internal" repository even existed lol

I don't know about english version of Twilight, as I've read them all translated into polish, but in polish version they used words like "auburn" or "chestnut" to describe Edward's hair so in my mind we was always on the line between dark ginger and brown so for me it's not taht much of a stretch to call him a redhead

"Would drugs have made Twilight better... yes!" Okay, as an author myself, that made me crack up, hahaha. I'm not a huge fan of the Twilight series. I couldn't even get halfway through book 2 without wanting to throw the book across the room, and I honestly gave up shortly after that. But I do see why some people like it... (the same way people like TikTok and other, obviously horrible inventions...) Still, I think we should all give it up to Meyer for one reason. She proved to the world that you do not need talent to become a successful author. Yep. As insulting as that is to people like me who work really hard on our craft for years and years and years and don't just have a random dream and suddenly decide that we're going to turn it into a novel (Meyer's true story), at least we have that going for us!
