Another entry on the channel for the legendary Jack Palance! We are blessed by his performance in the second half of this CBS special, hosted by James Earl Jones! This is a special called "Rod Serling's Lost Classics" and it's the last 2 stories Serling wrote (but never produced) finally put to life by CBS! This is a recording of the premiere on CBS WHDH 7 Boston on May 19th, 1994.

Who else is here July 2024 ….wishing it was 1994 again. I want to live back then now. What time does the 1994 bus show up? I’ll be packed and waiting. Meet y’all at the bus stop. 😊

Films in those days were better than oscar winners today, and oscar winners of those days...well theres nothing today that can match. Try doing a marathon of oscar winning films from the 60s onwards...it is mind blowing!

Thanks! After getting my self and my 4 NON-VIOLENT kitties. through 4th of July holiday WEEK OF NON-STOP EXPLOSIONS 2024, we all needed something engaging to relax into and just rest and regroup and feel safe in front of for a few minutes. This fills the bill beautifully.😢

@@Kate-gt2wo I gave you both a Thumbs Up because I empathize with what you and your precious furbabies endured. My five canine furbabies were likewise bothered by neighbours' fireworks, one of whom remains traumatized. She is snuggled right up against me as we viewed this wonderful video. Did you ever think that these were not lost classics, but stories that ROD SERLING did not feel that were up to his standards, Rod was very particular about what he put on TV. So be careful when you say that a story was lost, because it is neither lost nor a classic, just put on the shelf to be either rewritten, or discarded.

I think it's just a catchy name for the special... I mean, I hear what you're saying and all but there's not really a mystery to solve, the backstory is available, you can see for yourself. Serlings widow Carol found 2 pieces in a family trunk, one was the outline to the 1st story and the other was the complete script to the 2nd story. The 1st story outline was actually expanded and scripted by Richard Matheson. Carol Serling co-produced this special with CBS.

@jyesucevitz YOU were not even alive when Rod SERLING had his TV show, I was ,as a matter of fact I went to the same High School As Rod,it was known as BINGHAMTON CENTRAL back then, ROD was a student of the Miss Foley, she was an English teacher and was mentioned several times in Twilight Zone . Many times we passed in the hall and spoke. I watched these two episodes, they were not that great ,considering many others that ROD used. He was a prolific writer and there probably are many other so- called lost episodes. My advise to you is to put your guns away ,we are all friends here.

Was that really Serling's work or someone interpreting it 30 years later? The first one was way below standard and the second just made it. Jack's performance did a lot towards making it work. Rather a disappointment. Yes, watching the commercials was great.

Hehehe roger that! Original commercials are very special in my opinion. I always appreciate when ads match the content they're played alongside, when you can spot the intentional programming that went into the ad placement for TV, especially premieres. I'm sure they tried to use as many ads as they could that fit the twilight zone vibe. It was probably sold that way to the advertisers, "Upcoming Twilight Zone special, please submit ads you'd like to run during".
