I'm late to this but have a QUESTION... HOW TO SEND IT? VIA EMAIL??? What to put in the email? Just the LINK to the EPK? Hope I didn't miss it by jumping around but I'm on my 5th article looking for this info. When you send out your EPK link... should you at least include a photo or something in the email? summary?

What website or tool did you use to create your EPK? You mentioned having a special code or password to get into the EPK specifically for the industry. How did you set that up? I would like to get started with creating my first EPK. Although I only have 1 EP and a 2 Singles, I feel as though need to start somewhere despite how little of what I have. I'm still building from ground up.

I have just begun my music journey. I’m a former athlete who just recently began to take music seriously. I don’t have any accomplishments to put into the bio section that pertain to music. All of my accomplishments are from things like football, wrestling, etc. What is a good suggestion as to what to put into the bio for this? I want my bio to look professional as possible. Just like song inspirations and things of that nature like you like I saw you mention? Would it even be beneficial to mention my athletic history? I played a little pro ball and got a whole story in that aspect that ended up leading me to music through a concussion recovery. I know this is about music but thats just who I was before I got that concussion.

You are exactly right on target. Obviously it goes without saying that you should do your best to get your first music-based accomplishment-Put that on the top of your priorities list to better legitimise your bio. But until then, definitely leverage your story and the obstacles that you've had to overcome. I talk about this in my music business course where I teach that it's good to "stack your talents" (one of my students, Tasha, is a US Olympic Medalist and you can bet that she shares that amazing accomplishment.) Use your story because it's unique to you and build from there.
