A couple things to note is that Hoyoverse Confirmed that Genshin and the Honkai universe “Honkaiverse” are connected as the Genshin world is a leaf on the imaginary tree like hi3 and hsr. Also they did confirm that Dainsleif would be playable in the future.

Exactly. I'm not so sure Teyvat/Genshin's universe is on a leaf, since it doesn't seem to act like you would expect if they are a leaf. I'm more inclined (based on the weird time stuff) to think that genshin is a bubble universe, propped up by Irminsul acting like a substitute for a world tree keeping the world together. Maybe some weird kind of ether anchor?

I like the hypothesis thay traveler isn't actually gaining new elements with the statues, but regaining their old power, in segments. That being the power of light. Or imaginary, if you prefer. If you were to combine all the wavelengths of light that represent each element, you'd get the color white, like light. So one of the missing elements is actually just every element combined into one. The other, abyss, i can suppose would be the reverse of that. How that works, i really don't know.

this is actually semi-confirmed in the opening cutscene of the game. whenever the traveler gets a new element, their outfit syncs to that element’s corresponding color (for example, aether’s torso piece and lumine’s cape pieces), and in the opening scene, these pieces are white, as if to signal a type of “light element”! it’s not just the opening as well, it’s at the very beginning before you get anemo and whenever you see your twin in-game, they have that light element

@@kiriekurashiki1028 Because the devs have long since stated in a GDC panel that Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star Rail do have have story and mechanics interwoven with each other, its just Impact 3rd and Star Rail are much more obvious with it with Welt being directly from HI3rd, Bronya and Seele having the same exact names as their counterparts, as well as some Signets like Yanqing and Kafka being upgraded to playable characters, etc. etc. while with Genshin its moreso some characters and archons are equivalents to others, Heavenly Principles with Kiana, Venti with Wendy, Ei and Makoto with Raiden Mei and Doctor Mei, (this is a bit of a joke but Scaramouche with Kevin and Dr. Mei's kid, Adam), Theresa with Nahida, Alhaitham with Su, Furina with Seele (dual personalities with different clothes, same hairstyle just Furina's is more well kept but this is in line with Star Rail Seele having messier hair than HI3rd Seeles but having the same hairstyle, having to deal with an "sea" and "drowning" in it.), Navia with Durandal, and with future characters: Murata/Pyro Archon with Himeko Murata, Tsaritsa/Cryo Archon at this point is very obviously going to be a Bronya as well. Yes Zhongli is a weird outlier to this, though honestly you could possibly make an argument his personality is based on Welt's and his design is like an older, more mature Adam from APHO. Otherwise, the only story based connection we have right now is that Otto when he was alive and was looking into different previous era projects witnessed Dvalin through a screen (probably via Project Valuka info with Honkai's Sumeru which yes, Sumeru sharing the name and the Irminsul Tree may have some relations to that). As well as the age old theory that Project Ark with Griseo led to Teyvat's creation which may be possible with her making paintings based on some people she remembers hence similarities between characters and such, even if some are moreso based on PE versions rather than the CE versions of HI3rd characters.

the reason is not so well-known this fact is cause... it was in a chinese stream. hoyoverse foreign fan base (as a whole, even counting HI3, GI, HSR, GGZ, ETC.) not understanding chinese makes so a lot of facts and issues happens in general. for example people think the honkai verse is a multiverse, but no, is a universe under a many-worlds interpretation theory, making so GI, HSR, HI3, etc. are in the same universe but thousands of millions of light years away in different planets of each other. or is a lower scale, people not knowing Dainsleif will be playable confirmed

Wouldn't this explain why the MC is developing all the elements of Teyvat? To ultimately achieve their forsaken power of Light as was suggested during that same Dainsleif Story Quest when it showed that our sibling apparently has her original powers back? Not sure but when you think about it the MC is actually going to be much stronger when his original Power is restored and will be refracted through all the elements he's achieved during his journey, like light turned into a rainbow, lol. His Sister even wielded her original sword!!! These two "Forces" Light and Darkness isn't considered elements but is a 'Source' of all the elements, we also got a taste of the Light Power during one of the quests a year or so back when we had to collect these type of "Light" sigils remember?

I would be very disappointed if the MC is the only one to use Light and if it would be used by combining all Elements to get it. It throws so much potential in the garbage. Other characters, enemies, locations, etc. thrown out just so 1 character gets to use it. But what if Light Traveler isn't balanced right? If Dendro Traveler is still better it becomes a waste. Unless you force the player to use him due to puzzles and such. That could disappoint players even more.

@@joesunday199 i disagree with your first part, i believe the Traveler should be the one of maybe the very few characters that use the power of the light. a big reason for this is it should be something they are uniquely able to do to give them a reason to truly exist outside of story and in gameplay. i mean they are literally surpassed in every one of their obtained elements by a gigantic degree and it WILL happen for pyro and cryo. if too many characters are made using the light element then it ruins and overshadows the Traveler's existence in gameplay and the build up to this apparent huge spike in power. i also believe they will probably finally be the character they're meant to be lore wise inside their gameplay. i really want the Traveler to actually feel powerful and meta changing for once. i agree that it would suck if he was weak as all hell as light Traveler but honestly i do believe they are intentionally making them weak until this happens to really feel like they've grown in power so i doubt that they would make him weak in any aspect. gacha games do tent to up rarity of characters in certain occasions and i bet Hoyo is gonna do that with the Light Traveler. they might be truly the first "6*" character that shakes up the meta and rightfully so. if they don't then ig great job Hoyo for all the buildup for absolutely nothing. enemies making use of the light would be fine, however, simply on the fact that it wouldn't hurt lore wise nor would it impede on the specialness of what the Traveler is supposedly meant to be. all im saying is, let's let the Traveler have something for once, please.

@@MOTH-Machine First of all; WALL of Text! We aren't getting a "6*" character. Also, since Traveler is free (and default) They wouldn't make any money on Light as an Element if only they have it. Something else you'd need to have is Light based enemies (like Light Slimes). That way you get a lot of mileage out of the newly added Element. But, if the only one that uses Light is the Traveler; There isn't going to be much that can create Light Reactions. Maybe puzzles could. What Hoyo could do is treat the (Light) Traveler as an Archon of sorts. Each Archon has been made to be the best of their respective Elements. Thus, the Light Traveler could act sort of as one. Being the best (meta) Light Vision holder. Then, introduce other characters that receive the Element of Light. It could even be apart of the story. Like, Aether/Lumin search for those without Visions that earn the Light Vision. Then, they get their Banners and.... profit. 😁

I like these topics. That said, I think Hoyoverse does a better job in creating a hard "science magic" or "quantum-spiritual" system for it's titles than others like the MCU, which became random soft-magic trash after Endgame. I also played Honkai for years, and you can see that despite the technobabble , it's well-written and well-thought of techno-babble. I have a theory that the reason why Hoyoverse is keeping consistency in their quantum-spiritual/technomaguc systems is because they will have a grand crossover game that will take place across the whole of Quantum-Imaginary Space and the different worlds (games) that it holds, something like what Capcom has done or Dissidia but with a grander attempt.

And every country has some references to mythology of its real-world prototype. This is most obvious in Enkanomiya, since it's based on Ancient Greece, and Greek mythology is very well-known.

Here is a theory that I have had for some time now and I will share it with you. That one of the missing elements has been present in the game since the very beginning. And it’s one that the traveler has had since we first started playing as them. This also links in with the TCG mini game. And that is the traveler has the Omni element. Just like in TCG the Omni element can copy any other element which is why he can gain the element of what ever statue of the seven he/she touches. And if you look back at the opening of the game when you first start playing there are parts of the traveler’s outfit that are growing white but that changes the your character first touches a statue of the seven gaining that element for the first time. This is just my theory about this.

The traveller has white glow at start bcz they haven't touched any of the statues meaning no god has recognised them yet, so they have no elemental control, there is no such thing as omni element it is just an imaginary element to represent an outcome. Traveller is probably a creature of that nature, someone who can adapt.

I disagree with the omni element being traveler’s. If it’s anyone’s it’s Paimon’s; the omni symbol can be seen on Paimon’s design and they were the one who taught the traveler about gaining elemental powers through the statue despite no one else knowing of such a thing happening. Even the archons are confused about it; the omni element is Paimon’s. The traveller’s element is those yellow beams of light at the start which they used to enhance their abilities (flying, sword, etc). We know that this isn’t the abyss element either. Traveler has their own power.

The triquetra symbolizes interconnectedness and the concept of threefold unity, whether representing the Holy Trinity, the cycles of life, or the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. In many other gacha there is usually a 'light' and 'dark' faction. the 'light' faction can replace any other faction, and the 'dark' faction usually has incremental effects depending on how many of them you have in your team.

Because in my theory, Phanes was replaced by Sustainer/Second Who Came and Chronos by Kairos, because of the changing of the tree, which was the cause of the first Samsara.. But both Sustainer and Kairos still exist as Heavenly Principles and Istaroth.. which means they weren't replaced.. Then there must be another lesser tree with similar power/functions whose Avatar could be someone called "something" who is a reincarnation of Eon/Time within the Samsara, this " something" loses its name, identity, memory, etc each time the cataclysm repeats and most recently it was known as Rukkhadevata and Nahida..

The abyss twin and dainsleif directly use abyssal power in cut scenes, so far we havent seen anyone wielding "light" yet but like many say when the traveller gains all the elements possibly light will follow automatically. If however after visiting sneznaya we may visit khaenriah, we may gain abyssal power first before we get light. As far as abyssal powers go, opening PORTALS seems to be one abyssal power theme. The hounds created by accident by gold can breach worlds, we even have a "antibody" of elynas thats called a "breacher". It's interesting how the breachers can use geo and dendro but not the 4 other primary elements. Lectors also can use the 4 primary elements but not geo, dendro or anemo. Theres something core to the overarching story about that.

Me Theories: "Cosmo" will be the eights element, which will be re-discovered as the element of Khaenri'ah's forgotten archon. This is pretty much the dark purple stuff we see in relation to the abyss all the time. I call it "Cosmo" because all elements end in "o", and also because in my broader lore speculation "the abyss" is synonymous with outer space, with the abyss order being aliens. Also Khaenri'ah was a space faring nation, or was aspiring to be, or maybe even succeeded in the end. The ninth and last element will be "Primo", the primordial, all-encompassing element. This will be when MHY finally breaks the games systems wide open and makes characters that use multiple elements in some way or another. Like what the traveler is already doing.

@@ziebus904 yeah, khaenriah is literally described as a “nation without a god” not because it’s god died or was forgotten, but because it literally started without a god, it’s entire purpose was to be a safe haven for everyone who didn’t want to seek shelter with the gods instead, it could have something to do with the abyss twin being revealed to be the prince/princess of khaenriah rather than the prince/princess of the abyss like we all thought they were; instead of a god there could have been some type of monarch with a forgotten element

Didn’t Mihoyo literally promise that Dainsleif would be a playable character in the future? Yes, he has abyssal void power. And the main character will have their gold sword (they and their sibling each wielded one such sword at the beginning of the game), which contains the powers of all the elements combined, but that doesn’t make them a new character when they get it. And it’s more of a philosophical debate whether this gold energy is a new element, or just simply is the combination of the other basic elements and remains unnamed.

Lets be honest: its like all rpg games; you have "basic elements" and then two other elements that are 'rarer' (usually light and darkness) and more expensive to get. Im guessing Dark/light characters will have their own banner, and only one character will be featured at a time and the pity sistem will be completely different (with different I mean harder to get the featured 5* star)

Honestly I think there will be power creep happening to force people into getting these new characters, the same we saw with Dendro and now with Pneuma & Ousia Fontaine but they won't increase the current pity or make it harder because at the end of the day if your product is too expensive people won't buy it.

They will probably be 6 star characters with featured 5 stars and is only available once every 1and a half years and will have a hard pity of about 200 pulls with 5 stars being guaranteed every 80. I could also see them being very broken that if they are included in the party you would be allowed to have 5 characters instead of 4 but with the twist that you could only put 1 (either light/dark) to every team.

@@ScaryYokai Personally, I wouldnt say dendro is necessarily 'power creep', the old national teams still rock the abyss and there is no dendro character that overpowers what we had (Yelan, C2 Raiden....). The reactions, however, were the peak of the introduction of dendro. I heard that some Fountaine enemies are weaker against Pneuma or Ousia, we can only expect that the abyss will be filled with such enemies to trick you into pulling for foutaine characters. We can also expect the following abyss effect to have something to do with mono-teams, considering we already know Liney shines best at mono-pyro teams.

I like the idea of Light and Darkness being added. But, not like in the video. There s also a problem with adding another Light character or Darkness character. Explaining how anyone else could even get these Elements. Say you have a character from Inazuma; How would they get Darkness? Neither Light nor Darkness have Visions. Then there's the Elemental Reaction problem. What about a Nation humans can live in that would represent these Elements. I would love to have a discussion on these topics but rarely do fans engage.

The problem with that is those aren't "Elements" but just "Energies". Any Vision holder (at least those from Fontaine) can use those Energies as well as their own Element. So, the Energies would be in a lesser category than the Elements.

Even if it's with characters of known elements, a introduction of some dark an light elements in game mechanics, is still a introduction. Which later on will lead to playable light an dark type characters. When though I don't know. But I do know, they will be in the game at some point. In a way we already have light based in the form of mc. So you see we've had a light element based playable character since the game started. More will come. In time. What's thr old saying 🤔 " if you build it they will come". Let mohoyo cook. They building something huge. An if new element hype from the past "dendro" is anything to go off of. In the beginning of the game, the travelers have a white light on their outfits. Take it easy over powered by the unknown god that is black. Now, if you break this down to colors, black is the absorption of everything white is a reflection of everything. It’s pretty obvious as to why the travelers lost It also goes on to explain why when you meet your sibling for the first time their responses when you reach the end of your journey, you will understand. Celestia is the enemy and it’s not until they absorb all seven elements that they really have an understanding. It’s why when they absorb the Hydro element That now they hear voices it’s not just the fact that everything is there and everything is in the water and etc.. It’s now that they have absorbed more than half of the original elements. Things are starting to change. But the comparisons don’t stop there in one of the beginning, story quest, you run to find ancient boar meat. And in the process you find a newly defrosted Olaf. Who was from 500 years ago encased in a. “ special kind of ice.” March was found floating in space from an unknown planet also encased in a special kind of ice. She mentions that she doesn’t know how long she was there could’ve been hundreds of years but she remembers nothing previously. Neither does Olaff. Paimon it’s from the abyss to leave the trailer down the path. She wants him to go down. March is from teyvat and the cryo archon is probably one of the head people of the abyss and is fighting against Celestia, and the only way to do that is to get the gnosis of all of the elements. Because then they are the environment of everything that’m celestia is not.

based on your analysis i think dark and light will be support elements because they consist of the elements in different forms. i think they’ll convert the other elements and reactions somehow that reflect chaos and order. not sure exactly what that’ll look like but since they’re made up of other elements i think they’ll be more amplification of rather than separate elements. to avoid over-complicating the elemental system if nothing else. also seeing how dain has been acting this whole time with “you do the fighting” type stuff i wouldn’t be surprised if he’s an off field support. he really doesn’t seem like a dps or healer to me tbh. if i’m wrong that’s fine but that’s what i’m thinking at the moment
