Just wanted to say and this could either mean nothing or be a mistranslation, but in the quest "The Golden Apple Vacation Returns!", Venti refers to Alice and Klee as: "A mother and daughter, both with long elf ears and the most amazingly adorable personalities" There was also Tsumi in the Three Realms Gateway Offering event, who may or may not have been half snake or half vishap. I honestly don't remember what the reveal or twist was at the end of that, but i do remember she was hiding her eyes to hide that they were reptilian.

It is indeed weird that the Travail trailer makes it sound like Dainsleif is our final enemy. I never thought about it this way before and tbh, I agree with your take. However, I doubt people collectively are going to stand behind it due to how wild it is. It is really difficult for someone who saw Dainsleif as a human throughout the game to think that he is a Descender.

When I first looked at the Vidyadharas and heard of the "long life species" term, I legit cooked that Alice was one of them and a Nameless who got in Teyvat through the Astral Express because of her message to Klee in the GAA. My theory is: The Black Serpent of the Battle Pass is the "Sinner" we met in the Caribert quest. Serpents are usually religous symbols for "sin", like the one who made Eve take the "FORBIDDEN" fruit who gave her "KNOWLEDGE" of sin. FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE, anyone? The same "forbidden knowledge" that is shown as a black liquid spreading on the land? Almost like the liquid that drips from the Black Serpent's fangs? The Sinner first brought forbidden knowledge to Teyvat, and it is symbolised as a Serpent dripping black venom from its mouth. The "genesis pearl" could symbolise Teyvat itself, since the Serpent's venom drips into the pearl, turning it black, symbolising how the knowledge it brought corrupted the World.

This also explains why Rukkhadevata was not the first pick for the Dendro Archon by celestia, they have to go over Nabu Malikata, Deshret, unknown mushroom/fungus god and then finally into this supposedly "elven" princess when in reality, looking at how Sumeru city, and more specifically Akademiya itself are essentially her place to hoards treasures and "Knowledge", That she is a Dragon herself. It's no wonder why she's so fixated on Wisdom and the method on how to obtain it to the point she herself takes in Forbidden Knowledge that would eventually backfire completely against her own people.

Even if this theory turns out to be true, I personally don't think Buer is a 'dragon'. She is likely the only exception (notice how even the OP does not mention her when talking about Klee, Alice, Iansan, Pulcinella, and Layla), Rukkhadevata is probably just the "Fairy of the Tree" more than anything else. @@GhostEmblem It's mentioned multiple times on various World Quest that prior to Archon wars, there's a lot of Gods and Deities throughout Teyvat, those that have it's descendants still exist as monster to fight in this game are their descendants or followers, like Azhada and those bunch of Geo Vishaps, and in this case the Fungus Gods and it's many followers/descendants like the beloved Mushroom King that are apart of the daily boss fight. Now the reason why I mentioned mushroom god as potential candidates for being the Dendro Archon is because in one of the lore books idk which one, but it does stated that Rukkhadevata was the "LAST" options for celestia and the only one who accepts the Authority of Heaven in the form of the gnosis while the others Gods like Deshret outright refused it. Which means by extension it can be safely presumed that Celestia glossed over even the other Gods like the Animals Gods and in this case the Mushroom God being the most prominent natural gods outside of Nabu Malikata, whose really just a really powerful Seelie that appearances mirror that of Nilou.

This also works with how Nahida's longevity being a branch of Irminsul is similar (?) to the Vidyadhara's reincarnation cycle. So far the only 'elves' we know are: Klee & Alice Neuvilette Layla Iansan Nahida (and by extention Rukkhadevata) It is also interesting how Dainsleif always covers his ears... Now with Kevin being an expy as TPO, it would be funny as the first samsara, corresponding with the first descender, is Hyperborea, and Kevin has been 'cursed' to the point he cannot touch anyone due to how cold his body temperature is...

ITS POSSIBLE DAINSLIEF DOES NOT HAVE THE REAL EYE OF THE FIRST FIELD TILLER !! During a quest in sumeru, the traveler and an academia researcher go to an appraiser in search of an item but the appraiser showes us something else instead, thinking its what we were looking for. They claim that its the ruin core from the ruin guard ontop of stormterrors lair, siting the battle scars all around it from its fight with the great wolf of mondstat. Does that mean this is genuine? When we saw the eye of the first field tiller at the end of the dainslief quest we see no claw marks around it, does that mean it was switched out? How did it end up in the posession of the appraiser, does dainslief know he does not have the real eye of the first field tiller ? Are the ruin gaurd core and the eye of the first field tiller not the same thing? Paimon was the one that asked if dainslief could have a fake, i feel like this is something that was just glossed over considering the quest isnt voice acted. Could someone please tell me what you think of thiw.

in hindsight, the traveller is leaning more into being the witness. while we are helping a lot, like a lot, we arent actually driving the main things that happens in genshin. my take is that venti and mond could have surely dealt with the corrupted dvalin. liyue qixing and liyue as a whole would have stood chance against osial. yae and kokomi would have still achieved something to convince ei and the shogun. haitham, cyno, and others would have still figured things out. focalors plan would have still flourished. like yea things happened bc we were there but thinking about what if we arent, it feels like it would still work out. its as if, or not as if but in actuality, that we were there more as witnesses. yea ik we were called as witnesses but it makes more sense now, instead as the usual heroes

In my opinion, Neuvillette didn't create life, but either extracted, removed or transformed the premodial waters in their veins to blood. As explained in the archon quest, Folcalore used the waters to turn oceanid into humans but the waters still remained in their bodies. Also a thing to note, is that a single Oceanid "created" by the waters of many dissolved Fontainians.

This is an awesome theory!!! The other day I also dawned on the similarities between the long life species on the Xianzhou and Klee & Alice. Originally, I was thinking they may be the elf species commonly found around there (I think we’ve only seen NPC’s so far though), and since we know Alice can travel between worlds, I assumed she may of came from there. The only issue with this theory is the fact that the dragon of water,and therefore the Pirmoridal sea is the origin of all life , it's stated in neuvillette's story voicelines that the hydro sovereign is the authority of life ,and it was stolen and used to create the shade of life further after , which goes against Pirmoridal one being the creator of lives and creating them from himself bc he already stole the ability in the first place.

If we look at consecrated beasts, they ascended to pseudo-divinity by eating the corpses of gods, but failed to properly absorb it and became simple monsters. This will offend Liyue, but this reminds me of illuminated beasts, or adepti for those which signed a contract with daddy ZL. Speaking of Morax, he was the one who 'illuminated' all these beasts by teaching them adeptal arts, the original illuminated beast. But he likes to take the form of a dragon. Emperors in ancient China were said to have dragon blood running in their veins, making them divine. Zhongli have dragon blood and became divine? Like how the shade of life created the second heart (Egeria) from the first heart (Hydro sovereign)?

Focalors was an oceanid; a being capable of combining together and 'reproduce through' splitting. Y'know, I hear Kevin getting mentioned, and drip marketing posts are considered valid pieces of lore. I think most people are unaware or forget this due to it being pre-release in 2019, but if you scroll back to June of 2019 of the official twitter account, you'll see Lumine and Aether both got drip marketing posts. Which are signed by Kevin Kaslanna in the way he does everytime him signing something comes up with any of his appearances and versions "K•K". Maybe because we know nothing of this connection in-game yet, but I personally find it interesting and a bit of a shame no one has tried to build off this connection that is there, especially with how the devs have stated Houkai, Honkai, Genshin, and Star Rail are connected outside of just a shared cosmology. That and theories that do go out of their way to find more direct connections just seem completely unaware of thus (with the project ark theory that was popular getting debunked into the grown when Adult Griseo showed up IMO).

One thing ocurred to me while I was watching this video. Is it possible for Dainsleif to be Aether from the far future where he fucked up everything. I got this feeling at this part 19:51 where he's certainly talking about Lumine because the travellers are very close to eachother and even if he would start to lose memories he will always remember her, and thats whats happening there, he also in one of his quests says sentimentally that he once traveled with Lumine, but maybe she died in the future and thats because hes back now. And yes I know that there are a lot of strong hints of him being ouroboros and all that but I think that its possible that Aether became all that in search of his sister and its also justifiable because of time travel that Dain=Aether theory is based on. What do you think of this theory.

Oh and I forgot to add that this situation with Dain and Aether reminds me of Emiya and Archer from the Fate series( he was just a human but became something much greater and regretted his decision, he didnt choose to come back, but when he did he tried to fix himself)

The 4 samsara maybe representing the 4 yugs in Hinduism, satyug being the first one where everyone lived in harmony just like the hyperboria's "paradise" second being treta yug, where lord Ram (Vishnu reincarnation as a human) killed ravan (a demon) just like natlantean, third being dvapara yug just like remuria, this one is a bit long to explain you can refer to "Mahabharat" for the entire story, then kal yug in which we currently exist where humans gets further and further away from God just like remuria A point I realised while typing this was you mentioned that samsaras was ended by descenders (a will powerful enough to end the current one), Now the thing is in Hinduism all these 'yug' were ended by reincarnations of Vishnu (sort of like descenders) 🤔

It's cool but a bit too farfetched. You might be right about Klee and Alice tho. I just don't see how Dain can be the third descender. While yes he is an immortal human he is also a skilled fighter wielding abyssal power and we know that elements and magic can be used by humans even without a vision(like how Mona used hydromancy before getting Barbeloth's vision or how Lisa was invited to be a Hexenzirkel member(that is comprised of the most powerful witches in Teyvat= even before getting a vision. Hell even Gold might have human origin but it's still technically immortal/all powerful.

I have been bothered by this for such a long time and finally a CC finally voiced my thoughts. In fire emblem, dragons are able to suppress their true forms into a humanoid form via a dragonstone and turn back vice versa. Also in telus, a continent in the fire emblem series, there is a race called Dragon Laguz who are huge dragons who are very feared, and are able to transform into their humanoid form at will. Both of these races have something in common. When they transform into their humanoid form, they both have pointy ears like elves. I have a sneaking suspicion, that the elves in genshin are offspring of the remnants of the dragon race and the seelie race. If king nibelung is a descender, and he is the lover of a Prime seelie.

Hmm, I have a personal theory about Dainsleif (as well as about Ascension in the game). It doesn’t debate your theory at all, in fact, it might even … be supporting it? The Story Theory So, one thing that I’ve always questioned is … why do characters have ascension dialogues, labeled as “Feelings About Ascension: Intro/Building Up/ Climax/ Conclusion”. And after looking into it, I’ve come to the conclusion that Stories are equivalent to Ascension. (Or at the very least, extremely vital for Ascension) Despite Boss Materials being required for Ascension, it is described only as a Character Level Up Material, and it is only Gemstones that are described as Character Ascension Material. And this is when I realized that the Dialogues of the Gemstones are nothing more than a Teaser for the Archon themselves. In all of the videos that Genshin has released, only one is warned about having Spoilers. And it’s one of the very first videos, the Teyvat Chapter Preview: Travail. Prologues, Chapters, Acts, Teasers, Spoilers, Interludes, Intro, Building Up, Climax, Conclusion. Despite us being told that this is the Travelers Journey, every step of the way is described in the fashion of a Story. This wouldn’t be strange in itself, since it is indeed a Story … but then we have Spoilers? We were spoiled about Dvalin in Mondstadt, Zhongli’s Contract to end all Contracts in Liyue, Ei’s pursuit of Eternity endangering Inazuma, Nahida’s enemy being the Akademiya, and even Focalors plan to deceive the Heavenly Principles, and make it look like the prophecy has come to past. (Even the God of Justice knows to not make an enemy of the divine.) We are spoiled about some secret in Natlan, and that in Snezhnaya, the Cryo Archon has no more Love. (If the theories that Tsaritsa is the God of Love is true, then this spoiler is a rather interesting thing to learn.) And the one spoiling everything? Dainsleif. Our Journey is a Story already known be Dain, which suggests that there is a predetermined Story. (Not in the sense that everything is fated to happen, but that everything already has a written conclusion, even the fates themselves were written) Which brings into question … if Dainsleif already knows the Story, then why is he asking us to fight him, to prove to him we are worthy of saving her? If he is aware of the Story, then he already knows the predetermined results … and it appears that in the Story, the results aren’t likable. The most massive Spoiler in the video, isn’t about the Archon Quests, but rather about their being a predetermined Story, one that we must challenge … and so far in the Travelers Journey, there has been zero indications of a Predetermined Story, in fact we were even told that as a Descender, we don’t belong to the world. Little did we suspect that there was something much larger at play, large enough to control a world and a Descender. … and somehow, Dainsleif was able to learn of this large thing.

This would mean Aether is in fact the cannon traveler, which is what I always thought. Mihoyo claiming both were cannon always gave off the air of Mihoyo just trying to placate angry Lumine stans. You can see from the Gnostic Hymn to to Dainsleif's trailer that Lumine is the one that needs saving. Either that or Dainsleif is bisexual and I don't know how Mihoyo would get that pass the CCP censorship.
