Outstanding, once AGAIN! LionHeart. While all this was going on I was at school. Two years after leaving school, in 1972, I was IN this - in Rhodesia, (now Zimbabwe). Some of our combat training officers were ex-Nam. Tough buggers!

Rest in peace my brothers and sisters in uniform who has given your lives in honor with courage through every conflict since the revolutionary war until now. Once again, We are facing another possibility of a world war that is brewing out there with the Paris peace agreement being banned while having our troops pulled back prior not for reasons the country believed but the canceling of the Paris peace agreement and now or specialized aircraft being dismantled and destroyed with no money in the reserves to replace is a very big concern for both our European allies and for the safety of our country is truly a big concern. There is Russia military fighter jets coming over major bases coming from all sides such as Alaska, Virginia, Washington, California and Florida to name a few more often that the Citizens even realize before detection and have done in many training missions over the recent years. I really fear for the citizens of America and Europe currently more than ever as we are in very scary and unpredictable times and I hope and pray that this does not happen but sense it in the horizon. I do not want our Homeland attacked nor our European allies.

I'm a drafted disabled Republic of Vietnam combat veteran '68. I served with the 1st Aviation as crew chief on the OH 6A helicopter. My brother served an Army Cobra pilot and my other brother was an Army Ranger. I was forced into medical experiments and these were NEVER put into my Army medical records. I spent a fortnight in a Vietnam field hospital and sent back into the field. I was over spayed with Agent Orange. Our government could care less about veterans. My V.A. health care sucked for 50 years. A pox on Congress. These SOBs used us as cannon fodder! Eaglegards ya dopes... I hate LBJ! I don't like democRAT or RINOs.

the US Army's 112th Cavalry RCT (Special), "Regimental Combat Team", was the first to use helicopters to MedEvac during WWII. They served 434 days in combat, They were the first Army unit in the Southwest Pacific to use bazookas and flame throwers against enemy defenses and first used rocket firing DUKWs in amphibious assaults. They were the first unit in the Philippines to use helicopters to evacuate their wounded. as per wiki.

not me looking for all the merchant marine ships from vietnam because my grandpas brother was also in vietnam like he was. they were separated but my grandpas brother charles alford carlson was a chief of engineering on a merchant markings boat. he found drugs in the boat and was going to turn them in but the person who possessed them threaten to kill my grandpa and charles younger brother named larry/ lawrence. we still don’t know to this day if the mafia killed him if he’s buried somewhere or if he was tossed at see on the voyage between japan and seattle. last we heard of him was in 1967.

1965 - 173rd Airborne was the first combat unit in Viet Nam. Staying permanently in the jungle conducting gorilla search and destroy missions.
