Update, the thief was also stealing scrap from numerous locations in the area and was caught red handed. He actually ran someone down when he was cornered and tried to flee and is facing some pretty heavy charges on top of theft.

I mean that's sorta the montra with scrappers, in New Hampshire at least. The people who do it for a living always seem to be an odd bunch. I did a load of scrap for my aunt a few weeks ago to a place in Concord, quite the bizarre group of guys there. All oogling at my 2015 F-350, which certainly isn't the cream of the crop, but I suppose it might be for those guys.

Just get an Arlo or Ring wireless camera that dings your phone when it senses people messing around and call the cops, mine has night vision sees pretty good in the dark. That just goes to show you this economy is still not good for everybody, i see people here take alum cans right out of the gas station trash cans and if you put anything metal in front of your house out for the trash boom its gone in no time! i see scrapper trucks here daily driving around

Honestly it's really just a deterrent. A place to keep the rotors in one spot that's also semi secure. This was filmed in early July and not one thing has been stolen since.
