I like all the upgrades you found on this generator. I must caution everyone on the use of an adapter that takes a 15 amp circuit and allows you to plug in a 30 amp connection. It does NOT change the amperage allowed, so bad things can happen if you overload (over 14 amps) the adapter by trying to push above the circuits rated capacity of 15 amps. For the capacity, PV input and DC output connections this is a winner. I also have that spark issue with my Renogy 1000s and like that you have a fix. I would have liked 100 VDC on the PV input ports, as that makes getting to the advertised 600 watts easier, but having two enables me to get to at least 400 watts per port easily. Jason, showing the ability to charge the 48 volt internal battery using 48 VDC rack batteries was a great addition to the review, thank you so much. This will definitely make my wish list!

Even with the 20amp to 30 amp adapter, you'll be limited to the 2400 watts of the inverter. You couldn't push 30 amps through that adapter, the inverter won't allow it for very long.
@user-pp9ot5ul4n
@user-pp9ot5ul4n 6 ай бұрын
@@Jasonoid I agree if using the 20 amp adapter you linked to, however, I was more concerned about the 15 amp adapter you also linked that is rated for only 1875 watts. There are reviews in that link, that show the adapter melting, with possible fire hazards. I wanted those people to understand the limitations. 😃

Great review, thanks. UGreen is a solid company, unlike some others they will be around to service their warranty. I think this is a good overall size for KWh, inverter capacity, and size and weight. Anything much smaller can’t run a refrigerator 24 hours and anything much bigger isn’t portable for old guys like me.

Great presentation and a ton of info succinctly voiced. This might give EcoFlow a run for its money. I love that you can connect at least 3 solar panels in series without any issues. I have the Linx solar panels that I put as a package when I knew very little about solar energy from Inergy and so far I can only use them on my Apex power bank. If my other power banks could handle the voltage that UGREEN can handle I would easily make the time and effort to get adapters or make them. Again great video.

@@theclaxton the two best options for dual DC Charging are going to be this model from UGREEN and the Delta 2 Max from EcoFlow. They have very similar specs. I personally like the UGREEN 2200 a little more due to the 30 amp DC output and the higher solar input. I'd say UGREEN is around for the long haul. I met with them at CES this year and they have a HUGE variety of products but are just barely getting into the larger power stations. Hi Jason, Another great and thorough review. That is almost the perfect power station. I wish it had just one solar input rated from 12V to around 150V. 1000 to 1200 watts. instead of the two 600 watt solar inputs. It is nice that you can go up to 75 volts instead of the rated 60. The other small downside is, it does not allow dual AC -DC charging. This power station does have way more pluses going for it though. It tested very well on your grading system and has one of the best if not the best DC outputs available on any current power station or solar generator. It wasn't an after thought like on the AC200L. The Bluetti, of course, has it's positives over this station as well, like a 30A output built in and wider solar voltage input range. It's just nice to have so many options when it comes to power stations and home power back up systems, the consumer can pick what system is right for their needs. The Ugreen is one of those great options and comes with a luggage trolley also. It is also on sale at a great price at the moment. Steve.

I appreciated the app part of the video because apps vary on how good/bad they are. Now, that could be a separate video vs all together though. Saw another comment on length vs content. Just a thought/idea: have one "overview with some detail video" that you spend lots of editing on and a second detailed one that you only minimally edit (e.g., chapters). The 1st can be shorter, the second a lot longer. Not trying to add time to your efforts; just wondering if a different spilt, more videos. Of course, perhaps with how KZbin works, this maybe a terrible idea. But, I also bet you've thought of this and there are a bunch of reasons it is a "bad" idea. I'd recommend having those panels in parallel since the VOC is pretty high. Usually an issue like that stems from having the positive and negative backwards or reversed polarity. Have you checked with a voltmeter to make sure positive is positive?

I have the the Delta 2 Max and Wave 2 just like you. Consider the BLESSING. You can via cable use the D2M like a power sounce. With 500w solar panels driving each D2M solar ports( for total 1000w). I do that and my Wave2 air conditioner runs from 10am to 8pm daily 7days a week. I very very seldom need AC charging for the setup. Also DC(D2M) to DC(W2) powering is very EFFICIENT. Which is the reason I can run the W2 from 10am to 8pm everyday without any AC current charging. Granted each morning my D2M state of charge might be 25% but by 1pm the D2M is 100% charged via Solar. And stays near 100% charged to near late Solar hours. But running the Wave2 on air conditioner to 8pm brings the state of charge back down to like 30%. Im saying if you had the ugreen 2200 to power your wave2 instead of your D2M you will lose the DC-DC efficiency. Thus need to AC charge the ugreen 2200.

@@larrywong7834 I just used the ac charging with my wave2 off of my d2m for the first time and didn’t like the run time it gave me. Your saying dc to dc charging is more efficient, I’d like to try that myself. Have to see how though. Just got it and reading the instructions isn’t exactly my strong suit. I didn’t buy my solar panels for the d2m yet but thought maybe not to max out the charging. Seeing that you’re using 2 500 watt panels makes me think I should do the same as opposed to the 2 450 watt panels I had in mind. Can you tell me which panels you use and where you get them from please? Thanks.

I had to have a double take on that. Just 75V for solar? That will severely limit how solar can be used on the UGreen. And no pre-charge resistors? The comparable and similar priced AC200L from Bluetti takes 145V, total of 1200W of solar and has a 2400W inverter. It also has PV priority UPS, which means you can leave it on solar and AC charging, and it will prioritize solar charging, like every self-respecting power station should do. I'd go with the Bluetti. Especially since their support has improved drastically in the last six months or so.
