This looks great; any idea on how this compares to JVC RS540 ? I wanted to see if its worth stepping up to NX5/RS1000 from RS540

Well you will gain more detail and a much better HDR with dynamic tone mapping but you will loose a lot of native contrast. That RS5400 has more than 3X if not 4X the contrast of this NX5 but it's only visible in a batcave.

i wish someone would make some videos/reviews about the nx5 with fullhd and hd content. 4k,hdr or not, 2D is nothing exiting. Still i would not wanna buy a fullhd projector anymore. The NX5 is interesting but it´s not interesting if the fullhd performance on it is subpar compared to native 1080p projectors ? This is something noone has really covered in videos.

Are you afraid of upscaling to 4k? Or perhaps worried about the smoothness of the picture. Just to understand what you mean. Thanks. I think you shouldnt worry too much, all streaming services with 4k, over 1000 uhd discs, and all the blurays.. Enjoy life :)

@@valterspelar My usage is 95% 1080p. I would use the nx5 ´s for dual projector setup for 3d .my usage is 90% 3d games and 10% of 3d movies and all is in 1080p. Im interested on watching some 4k content but ill always choose a 3d over 2d and games in 2d no matter the resolution are flat and noone interesting to me so that´s why im interested on the fullhd performance. Jvc is just about my only option addition to sony. No 1 chip dlp for me and 2 projectors equal more noise so lower noise better. the nx5 is just intetersting choise as sony´s cheapest 4k models with Manual iris are more expensive than jvc, besides sxrd´s still degrade to date. and i like jvc´s more unitform color output. So im intetersted to know how does a fullhd bluray look on a nx5 ? what was your last projector, how does it compare to nx5 in these scenarios. Is jvc´s pixels small when viewed close. I have a 130" 16/9 image and i like to watch about from 2.8m away. I also could go with the sony hw65 native fullhd but if i can get something extra with nx5 upscaling fullhd to 4k it would be an option to think about :) thanks by the way for the reply :)
