An Aussie Sausage is a Woolworths beef sausage served on white bread outside of a hardware store, Onions optional, ketchup and mustard also optional. $2.00 for the food item, $1.00 extra for the can of soft drink. If any non Aussie thinks this is strange, it’s a cultural thing.

OK I had various questions about this whole exchange in the above comments so I took the time to look it up. finger lime = a small underbrush or tree with edible fruit that looks like caviar with citrus-y flavor salt bush = a native australian bush, with edible seeds and leaves flog = pretentious, conceited or foolish Seppo = something or someone of American origin, often used in a derogatory manner

We dont have nearly as much passion for food as America, if anything they are amongst the highest in the world for passion for food while we are likely amongst the lowest. You're talking about a country where our BBQ is essentially sasusages cooked on an outdoor hotplate, while we celebrate birthdays with $5 cakes from the supermarket, and our only food inventions are dank crap like fairy bread and lamingtons. If you're american, you should know that outback steakhouse is entirely american food but with an aussie decor.
