Understanding and making use of the Minor 11 Chord is the quickest and most effective way to take your music productions and beatmaking to another level. Many electronic genres such as House, LoFi, HipHop, Jazz, Techno and more all make extensive use of this chord to create rich extended harmonies even when the music embraces simplicity. In this video, I'll explain the music theory behind extended harmony by showing you the difference between thinking of scales horizontally and vertically and how to combine the two approaches. Then we'll explore a few of my favorite Minor 11 chord voicings using Ableton's Ambient Electric Piano. We'll expand on one of these voicings by adding an uptempo Drum & Bass Drum Pattern using Ableton's Drum Rack and rhythmically syncing the chords to the kick drum. We'll add a simple Analog Synth Bass Line that doubles the rhythm of the drums and the harmony of the chord. Finally, we'll double the melodic aspects of the chord with a Wavetable Synth to bring it out in the mix.

One day I take midi keyboard and started to play. I decided to play only white keys, because I don't play piano at all. Surprisingly it was enough to make whole album =)

what i did is just learn as much as possible about Aminor/Cmajor (how to transpose into relative modes, what chords evoke what emotions) and then use ableton pitch device to turn it into a different key.

​@@wayback1010 exsactly, the trick some old synth funk players used, learn one key and just transpose the synth for a new track. I did it with Dm and also using abletons pitch :D
