I had one of the best car break-down experiences of my life in Sioux Falls. I was driving my 1974 Honda Civic across the country, and as I approached Sioux Falls, a loud noise started from the engine area. I pulled into the Honda dealer, and they quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad alternator. The service guy told me to go have some lunch and then come back. So I walked across the street to a little coffee shop and had lunch. By the time lunch was finished, and I returned to the dealership, my car was fixed. The price was reasonable, and I was on the road immediately. It was as if I had only stopped for lunch and continued on my journey. The customer service was the best I had ever experienced from any dealership service center. It was an excellent experience!

Also this video is sponsored by South Dakota Tourism and they used stock clips from a website called Storyblocks for the Badlands and the Mount Rushmore drone shots. Everytime I see Mount Rushmore I think of Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, and James Mason in "North By Northwest"! Cool trivia note, in the scene where Cary is about to be shot in the tourist lodge cafeteria, before the gun goes off there is a young boy 👦 sitting at a table behind him that has heard how loud the gun is in a previous take and covers his ears before the gun goes off! It was the best take of the other characters and they were close to finishing and running out of time so they left in in the movies 🎥 final cut!

Despite being born and growing up in the California Bay Area I know next to nothing about the states as I left when I was 17. Your videos have been very educational for me. South Dakota looks more beautiful than I would have imagined. As for the food - I wanted to rip that chicken wing out of your hand!!!! Eric's brisket also looked very nice - for some reason the butchers don't understand what a brisket cut is - and it's impossible to find it in the supermarkets here in the UK.
