It sounds great, but aren't leftovers typically a whole meal that already goes together? I'm not sure how much room it would leave to do three different takes on reworking the same meal. Maybe if they only use a main dish, like just ways to use leftover turkey (Thanksgiving being the first thing to mind for leftovers, of course). But starting with a fully prepared meal already, where can you really go with it? Maybe I'm just not creative enough, but it seems like it would be the same video as upgrading the meal the first time around. On the other hand, there are very obvious and practical curve balls like "someone finished off this side dish, you need to make something to fill the gap" or "this dish you weren't using is about to go bad, so you have to include it."

Maybe a curve ball can be that they have to swap dish with someone else? So Jamie has to finish and present Mikes, Mike finishes Barrys, and Barry finishes Jamies dish? So they get the first 30 minutes (half the time) and then they swap completely.

Barry's dish was definitely the most well plated dish, it just looked AMAZING. Mike's actually looked like homemade Asian cooking and looked great, Jamie's dish truly looked restaurant quality and was so appealing

It's a good thing Chinese food is generally served family style so in this episode, and in general you have each dish different than the others (like, not all chicken dishes), all three dishes work great as a complete meal.

Not the most people food friendly per se, but I used to work at a bakery where we also made dog biscuits. Simple stuff but owners really liked bringing their dogs home a treat along with some fresh bread for the family. Would love to see a challenge where the boys make homemade dog treats and get the local dogs at a shelter to be the judges? #adoptnotshop lol.. if anything it would make for some good click bait! 😅

You guys have really inspired me to try to cook again. From about age 10 to 16 I would cook the family an elaborate Sunday dinner each week. Then I moved out and worked at McDonalds for about 7 years and lost all my passion and cooking skill. Im in my 30's now and everything I make is either burnt to crap or tastes bland as hell. I can't even cook plain rice - half the time it goes straight in the garbage and the other half of the time I give it to the dog. Anyway, you guys make cooking look fun and easy again. I really appreciate your videos and love you all.

So. I'm a vegetarian. Have been all my life. So hearing Mike say "chicken balls" in the beginning I was like, damn they eat everything don't they? Only to later (gladly) realise how horribly wrong I was

Funny thing is chicken balls aren't really even eaten by Chinese peeps either. Like a lot of popular Chinese takeaway, invented in America, catered towards "Western" tastes.
