I actually start with a basic intake form prior to the agreement. This way I can weed out the bad fit clients before a contract is signed. Great in depth video. Thanks.

Early comment: I won’t do anything before we have at least email agreements and invoices. I’ve been developing a better on boarding process as a priority right now because I’m starting to sell hard and I’m clumsily putting it all together in trello cards

We do. In a high class proposal/agreement they sign off on. We don’t do an official kick off call tho. I just email or call them and ask for what I need.

@@6FigureCreative well, initially I didn’t know it was thing. But I’m starting to do them now for all clients and projects. I did an unofficial email/text to ask for files and stuff. But I now see the benefit of a kick off call. Especially to do it face to face to catch any problems and to build their confidence in my services. Thank you!

What software are you using? Can you confirm that the url in your browser has "https" in it and not just "http"?

I am just a bit perplexed about how the first step is the contract it seems to me more logical that the Contract will be made after the follow-up email. I think I will recap the call in a follow-up email and confirm to the client I will send him the contract in x work days & once it is signed, I will send him the deposit invoice. I think this is more logical because the contract can't be made without the data collected from the onboarding questionnaire and Kick-off call. If the contract is the first step, so, what's before it? How will I know the client's needs and project details which are necessary for the contract?

Everyone's process is different, so do what works for you! If you offer a productized service, you don't need to send an onboarding questionnaire to know exactly what the scope of work is.

I have used a contract, but feel that it is very wordy and not user friendly. (Legal jargon and sterile look to it.)

Your agreement signup form gets marked as phishing so does the pxle me site - might want to check that
