2.5 stars for Phastos seems crazy to me. Unlike Sersi or Pixie etc.. his randomness never bites you in the ass, It's always beneficial. Yes he sucks if you draw him on T5 or T6, but so do a lot of great cards. I also think he'll be. a lot more versatile than people think. I could see him slotting into a lot of different deck types.

Not to mention his poor stat line can be fixed by using other cards. Hell I'm going to try a sudo-surfer deck utilizing Wong, Absorbing Man, and Sersi. Brood + AM into Sersi has been a pretty fun line to do and then go tall in another lane with Gladiator or Shaw. Wong, AM, and Sersi should work with Phastos fairly well. Been thinking of some weird plays like turn 4 Wong into Phastos + White Widow on the Wong for board fill and double Phastos proc for your turn 6 draw. I'd maybe argue Magik would be nice to have for that extra turn to utilize the most from him. With that said though if I don't end up getting Phastos I'll be using a mill deck to just take all of those cards lol.

I've been building up keys for months to especially get Arishem and Phastos too! I'm at 7 keys with some more upgrades to get 8 so I should definitely get both! Phastos just seems really good overall! Even on turn 5, if it's your WHOLE deck, your next card will have extra power (like America Chavez) or discounted!

For Phastos my initial desk list was a combination of both of their main ideas. I think a Phastos/Thanos/Zoo featuring Blob could be nuts. Maybe even throw lockjaw in there if the stones cost zero. I'm really looking forward to Phastos' release.

I've been playing a Rocks and hawks deck with werewolf bounce and I randomly threw both shadow king and enchantress in there and they have been performing great! Even some turn 6s are just shadow king one lane and enchantress another and just shut down everything they did

I think arishem and phastos will be great together, since you get + 1 energy u will be able to get phastos out on turn 2(if hes in your hand^^). So people only going for arishem might be disappointed if they dont pick up this card, just a thought i had tho

Yeah I get your point, but still think he will be a great addition to the deck, the same applies to all cards if you play arishem, he will probably never be consistent, but in return the opponent has no idea what you gonna play, and what card is in your deck or not. I think phastos will be extremely valuable if it's in your starting hand or drawn turn 2 or 3. I'm gonna pick both up, but that's just my opinion, i might be wrong. Hard to know right now:)

Phastos will probably show up in surfer lists with brood, a natural inclusion. His ceiling is probably however popular surfer gets and it's always been relevant so he seems like a solid card but not game breaking. If Hope didn't break surfer then this probably wont, the two cards are probably close to interchangeable, maybe Hope runs Sage/Glad over Brood or something

This is just a guess, but I believe his on reveal will stack with Wong. You may end up with some cards that have less cost AND more power. It'll be cool to see!

phastos is a card id definitely wait until the end of the week. it could be amazing and it has to be to compete with the other great 3 cost cards. its never going to be a must have card due to its effect being random so im currently on team skipable

I don't see any downside to Phastos at all! Both reduced costs or higher power is good! Even on a late turn, he affects your WHOLE deck so your next card is buffed!

Imo Phastos seems like he’s kinda essential for a GOOD Arishem deck. It’s expensive, but Phastos, Sersi, and Arishem seems EXTREMELY unpredictable but powerful of the RNG works in your favor.

Honestly I'm not excited for Arishem at all. The extra power every turn will be great but not at the cost of 12 random cards shoved into your deck that will (more than likely) have zero synergy. It'll be like District X in card form and District X is one of the worst locations in game.

I think the District X comparison is a bit harsh for Arishem... District X totally nullifies your intention of playing a game with the deck you specifically chose when you hit the play button, but Arishem as a card not only still gives you some chance to draw your cards but also you can have some level of agency as to how you will enter the game with the deck you're bringing

I have been playing the thanoes scar deck they where discussing with phastoes and so far it has been my highest cuberate deck mainly because of how many large numberx I can throw in there and because of the new utility of thanoes I can play him in lockdown plains play him out early to buff scar and the amount of players I have gotten to shang chi a soul stone buffed thanoes is so funny to me I am also taking advantage of the priority the stones get you by utilizing tech cards that benefit from priority like red guardian and negasonic for the same priority reason I have been thinking about inserting echo but I think ill wait to see how phasotes affects the deck and think about if she is necessary and if theres room for her another reason i love this deck is that it lets me include some underplayed cards like crossbones witch can easily be played on a location where stones are since I usually start my games by spreading stones across the three locations go give me priority and to give be targets for crossbones I have also been including okoey who is great because every stone I play I am getting another buffed card often times she even buffs mockingbird up to a 0-3,10 witch lets me get scar off for free. No one will probably ever read all this but I just had to ramble on my favorite deck of the past weak and honestly my favorite deck of my whole snap experience. Btw the deck is probably only my best deck because I've played it so much and because im missing some key cards in meta decks because im free to play dont think the deck has top of meta potential or anything but who knows mabe phastoes will make it great

Because ultimately that feels less of a Thanos package and more about big cards that get power reduced. Those packages exist because you can't make something similar without those cards. Skaar, Sas, Cull, and MB don't require Thanos to utilize them so I wouldn't really consider it a package in the same way that Kitty Angela Hope or Sentry Annihilus is.

I recently played a bunch of games with Tribunal. Took me about 10 games to get Ravonna to play on Turn 2. Got the feeling that Phastos will feel the same amount of bad feeling when you don't get it on time. The effect seems strong but the frustration of missing out is gonna hurt the card. Don't see how you could go higher than a 3 star right now.

This is the mistake people made with Pixie. Building the deck around her and then calling the deck bad when she doesn't draw early. Just like Pixie you have to look at Phastos as a "sometimes you will pop off" addition to an already solid deck that doesn't have to draw him to win. Unfortunately this type of card doesn't justify being series 5 or using all your caches for.

I just tried this Toxic Surfer deck. 4 games in a row got wrecked as the MM put me up against people with the perfect counter and/or my cards didn't come out in the best order to make it pop off. I continue my losing streak and shame. I was up to rank 77 but have fallen down to 72. This meta is frustrating and I'm close to walking away.

Well @cozy I luv ya, but the Gilgamesh Phastos deck sounds so bad. You mentioned playing Psylocke to get BM out on 4 I guess, but don't you want to be playing Phastos on 3 as you said earlier? Just don't see it working, sounds like absolute trash. Also Glen has already said that Wasp will receive a random effect so definitely not a for sure +2. @alex Glad you mentioned Magik, I think she can really help our Phastos, he seems like a natural fit in the Wong Surfer deck that runs Hazmat. Arishem over Phastos is wild. One is clearly competitive and the other is clearly a meme. Copium at its finest. When you get all shit cards your third game in a row and that extra energy don't mean anything.... You're going to lose it. It's gonna be like Agatha. A meme. Phastos is on par with Hope. If you get Hope out after turn 3 it's awkward. Hard to build around. You certainly can't play her on 5 most games. Phastos can still play on 5 and you know you're top deck just got better. If you put Hope S tier, and you did Cozy, Phastos has to be 5 star s Tier. (I'll be trying that Gilgamesh stuff for sure. Sounds fun af)

Sorry Cozy, you’re wrong on Phastos. Surfer is fun but no card that powers up a Thanos deck is a bad card. This potentially enables Thanos Lockjaw which, to this day, is the most busted deck ever. That’s unlikely but assisting Mockingbird and Sasquatch will only help the Mad Titan.

Im about were Cozy is on Phastos. Hes kind of a highroll or bust card in a sense. When you brought up Klaw though it made me think maybe phastos would work well outside of surfer in a good cards value deck. bring cards like Klaw, Jeff, Red hulk, Iron Man, Red guardian, or Nocturne. cards you are already very willing to play, but now their is a line where they are even better. Imagine a Klaw as a 5/6 +8 or 4/4. that seems like a tremendous card for cube equity. Ill be rolling for phastos even though I'm not too high on him, because I have way too many resources. Hopefully I can find a cool spot for him that doesn't involve the obvious brood/surfer lines, but I hope he has a place in that list at least.

Scarlet Witch is such a cube thief! I especially love playing her in Limbo (bonus points if you do it against the annoying Mister Negative combo deck), and you can also play her on turn 6 with another 4 and make a big swing.

The way card acquisition is in this game, I always try and convince myself out of getting cards I'm excited for in favour of hoarding resources. Inevitably, this leads to regret, most recent example being sage. Really says something about the game economy though.

Phastos could be interesting in a She-Hulk Infinaut deck. If you can get a discount on naut, then you can play S-H and him on 6 without having +1 energy. Or just bonus stats on S-H is nice too. Also could help you get it out before people destroy your limbo in that style of deck. I may need to try it.

really wanted phastos, got spider-pig... good card but wanted phastos. i have 4 more keys but i also dont have Galactus or Darkhawk so i need to save keys for those weeks. i complete all my dailies everyday, complete the weekly missions, buy the season pass and even a bundle occasionally and i still feel like it takes longer than it should to acquire keys. took a long break (almost a year) and came back about 1.5 months ago. already getting frustrated with the card acquisition... oh well

I wish they would start doing the events again where playing all avengers or something got a buff. Those were the last time i actually had fun playing this game. Now a days its just whoever has the better tech cards wins

I know deck space is pretty tight but I have been thinking about Phastos in Tribunal decks. It's potential redundancy with the energy cheat but even hitting cards like Iron Man and Mystique with the +2 power could help quite a bit.

I don't think it's fair to say phastos isn't a good card cause it sucks if not played on curve.Tons of cards can suck if not played on curve. Hope summers a card u guys rated s tier. Is shit if not played on curve. It has 1 more point of power........ combo potential is good. Can't wait for this card.

If they wont give Black Bolt back his 1 power so hes 5/8 again then change his ability from lowest cost card to either the right or left card in your opponents hand. Imo discarding the left card is probably more op as itlp tend to be a card your opponent has been holding. Ofc that means it nay be his key card like Hela or a card he wasnt going to play either way. Imo discarding a card on the right would make him better but not to good also thats my suggestion.
