Bless you, a video without 20 commercials. This spring rebuilding my 91 bronco.

Just about the same combo I am building. Keeping it real for everyday use. 351W HO clone with mild HR cam.

Very nice. I’m putting together something similar to put in a ‘74 Bronco. 351W, ported E7’s, factory 5.0 HO roller cam advanced 4 degrees and Performer intake.

I never owned anything with a 351W, but drove a number of Crown Victorias and E350s with that motor, VV, carb and EFI. The EFI motors were in late 80s vans and had fairly respectable power even when carrying a load. But the most impressive was a 351HO with four barrel in a clapped out 1985 model E350. After the first time I stepped on the gas, I thought I was driving a 460. Popped the dog house off later and saw the air cleaner with “351 4V HO.” I’ve sort of had my eye out for an affordable 1985 F150 or Bronco with the HO that was worth taking home ever since. Just haven’t found one meeting those criteria, at least when I had extra change.

If you want good gas milage find a Offenhauser dual port manifold. They were the hot item back in the 70s and 80s. I had one on a 460 and it really made a difference in gas milage and low end torque. They are available used for 302 and 351 W. I bought one last year off of e bay for a 351 W. The price has been going up for them recently as more people are using them on their trucks.

Nothing really radical, just something very functional, nice, enjoy.

Don't forget the distributor recurve. And a good carb. These two things can, if they are right can make a huge difference.

Nice. 351W WAS an underrated engine. Not so much today with aftermarket parts availability.

I have replaced every 351W with a 12V Cummins and set up (power driven diesel) for 390hp/978T on a rear wheel Dyno in Oregon 6 years ago. My Ford E350 Aerocell Unicell Cutaway same thing, 12V Cummins. It's a 5.8L vs 5.9L I'm keeping my Ford Trucks till I die.

Should make a very nice cruiser/puller. I would have chose a little later exhaust opening event but, it will be fine.

That motor should work quite well ! Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it to the No Name Nationals, but sometimes "life happens". Good luck with it all !

Be sure to cut the divider on that intake down 3/8 of an inch or run a spacer to not lose any horses .

What will header or exhaust manifold be? I have nearly identical motor but in Cleveland guise. about 1/2 inch lift w/ older Crane roller rockers. 1-5/8" headers on my 71 Stang

@@nickthevanman9011 Nice. I used 3.50 gear and C-6 with 2500 stall converter and my trans went bad twice so this time I added a cooler. Makes sure you run a cooler.
