The dark in 4-2 is much better than the dark in 5-1 and 5-2 that's for sure. 3-1 dark is atmospheric though, but the dark in 2-1 before you reach the light outside with the shortcut elevator must be the best because of the relief it brings once you see the sun again

Fun fact: in DS3, the stone demons aren't even considered demons by the Black Knight weapons (which do more damage to demon enemies). Looking at any source, you see the demon bosses and the ONE normal enemy that is counted, the demon clerics, but no mention of these stone demons! Not even DS3 likes them!

One thing to mention. The Demon in pain and demon from below are both the demon prince, Lorian was said to have cut him in half during their fight, which after fleeing became these two

As I said, I was really hyped to watch another excellent list video from you; you’re rapidly becoming one of my favorite Souls-based content creators, up there with Vaati and Demod. This was a fantastic overview of some of the coolest enemy designs in the series. I’d love to see you do something similar for other enemy types, such as the various knights and so forth. If you do, however, I hope that you decide to include the other Souls-esque titles (Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, Demons Souls...maybe not Armored Core lol). Anyways, eagerly awaiting your next release! Also I lol’d hard at “semen of dong”, which after the shitty day I’ve had, I really needed. So, thanks for that :D

It's been a while since I've played any of the ~Souls games, so my memory is a little foggy, but just off the top of my head, you could also do gods/demigods/misc deities, knights/samurai/ninja, large beasts demihumans, casters, most annoying enemies, most fun encounters, coolest rare enemies...the possibilities are boundless! Also, on an entirely self-interested note: would you ever have any interest in doing any Armored Core content? The reason I'm asking is because I've been working on a couple of collaborative videos with other channels I'm pals with lately, and I think our writing styles might go well together. I totally, 100% understand if you don't have the time, inclination, or interest, but I bet we could have a good time coming up with and putting together an AC6 video of some sort. Just something to mull over : )

I did weapon review with @armoredcorelore recently that turned out really well, but I've been wanting to do something more involved. I'd also be down to look at something in the Elden Ring space if that sounds more feasible for you, but I completely understand if you'd rather wait until you have less on your plate. In any case, keep 'em coming, can't wait to see what's next!

Dark Souls really is such an amazing series with heaps of lore that can just make you feel a lot of emotions. Like the Demon Prince soul has probably my favorite bit of lore: "The demons, birthed from a common Chaos, share almost everything between them, even the pride of their prince, and his nearly-faded flame. So that the last demon standing may rekindle it." Like, this is it. This is the last ever standing demon, this is a fight for an entire race, and the Demon Prince himself is re-birthed from the dying flame of the last of its kin, so that it may fight one last battle. Yet still it fails, and with the Demon Prince dead, demonkind is now extinct.

the Omen bosses could maaaaaybe count too, since they (especially Margit) are very inspired by the Oni (鬼 or Japanese Ogres). They certainly have an Oni-like appearance, so. they're also victims of the Golden Order trend to look for an "Ultimate Evil" when there really isn't one, to spread fear and at therefore secure the allegiance of the masses

I always thought the Titanite Demons are a very unique design. Extra creepy that they don’t have a face. If it had a couple more moves it could easily have been a unique boss fight in DS1.

I feel like a lot of enemies suffered rank wise by not being bosses, some bosses that are just not great deserves a more critical eye because they're supposed to be a unique experience, and if said experience is lackluster, their grade should get a hit.

I like to imagine that the Capra Demon and Tauros Demon bosses are actually just jabroni weaklings that were kicked out of the Demon Ruins for being such massive wimps, hence their low health and why Capra feels the need to have dogs and thiefs working for them. The latter being an average at best fish in an itty bitty baby pond.

I was disappointed by the Demon Ruins in DS3 too. The Cleric Demon just seemed like another type of Ghru. I was hoping to see improved versions of those freaky Chaos Eaters from DS1 or at least a Capra Demon, but instead they chose the Stone Demons which are lame and resemble fire breathing turds.
