Cheaper to buy a table saw rather than destruying an expensive Bosh i think 😊
@plywoodworking Жыл бұрын
This is a bosch pro more cheaper than bosch, yup you can buy a cheap table saw than make this but it needs calibration and the top table is not wide. this is optional 😁

There are a number of YT videos on tools called 'ultimate' of 'perfect' - but they are made of wood. Any quality table saw will have major components made from cast iron. This is not for fun- there are good reasons.

Overall great work, but with a problem in the configuration of the trunnion as is clearly visible in the video the blade can not be tilted to 45 degrees without having to change the top cover and also is a large gap between the top and blade saw. You have to take into account the thickness of the top and that the "pivot" point is at the top of this top, on the other hand the cut that you make at 45 degrees in the mobile part of the trunnion is not correct because in this way it will never be possible for the disc to tilt at 45 degrees because the trunnion will hit the bottom of the top well before the disc reaches this inclination, say you have to cut more. As I said the rest is well done but it is a shame that it is ruined by the poor configuration of the trunnions, you should fix that and you would get an excellent saw.

Great project. But, allow me a small comment. Even though I'm nothing but an amateur woodworker, I could observe that you didn't consider the center point of the whole mechanism when you designed those trunions. If you would've, than you wouldn't be forced to change the insert every time you need to cut on an angle. I mean no offence, I consider the entire project a success, exept for this part. Good luck!👍

well made video. One thing though the trunions seem to be incorrect in design they should place the tilt centre of the blade at the top of the table surface so the blade comes out of the same slot for both 90 and 45 degrees. As you have made them they tilt below the table and toy might as well have simply used pivots under the table top. Several table DIY makers show how to design the trunions where the tilt is projected to the top of the table and where to place the centre of the trunion circles compared to the chassis and table top.

@plywoodworking2 жыл бұрын
Selama ini sih klo tiap mau miring harus ganti insert mas kecuali lubang insertya gedhe, klo ini posisi insertya agk lebar coz aq ngejar selang dust collector ddlm kabinetya jdi posisi trunionya agk setengah lingkaran, klo mau agk sempat dikurangi ukuran trunionya. Ato ada cara lain tp ketebalan bladeya berkurang gk sampe 8cm

This is a great build and it turned out fantastic. If there was just one thing that I would point out that you did wrong. Your trunnion centre point shouldn't be lined up with the top of the sawblade block but rather the centre needs to line up with the table top - All you would need to do it cut the thickness of the table top off the trunnion and move it up. You can see the issue the current setup causes at 22:30 where the plate has had to be removed to tilt the blade - with the size of the slot in the plate you should be able to tilt to 45 degrees without removal but the issue that you are having is because the trunnion is off... Other than that it is a fantastic build, thanks for making this video! 👍

Instead of using a linear bearing, which adds complication, a single point tilting raise setup is preferred. It's also good because you can put a single strong pivoting point, and use trunnions to make it super rigid.
