2:33:36 in other languages, at least in JP, the localization made their chanting voice line text having 『』to highlight their ancient name. Unfortunately, EN translation doesn't do that for additional flavor like other languages did for some unknown reason. it should look like this in EN We 「Unite」 as one. From what we learned in simulanka, its clear certain characters are represented in Natlan. Squirrel princess: Mauvlika- both confident leaders attempting to defy fate. (And glazes the traveler) Rivers the frog: Capitano- reluctant saviors reknowned for their strength. And at the end of the simulanka story, we learn both of them travel off together into the real world. If im huffing my "capitano is playable" hopium, theres a slim chance Capitano survives and becomes playable with Mauvlika. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

About Paimon lore, I have a feeling our separation to help Mavuika might be a opportunity because Paimon will get a lot of anxiety with this, specially considering the possibility of the Traveler dying (even if we have a Ancient Name at that point). So I keep thinking that when we come back to Natlan to reunite with Paimon, I imagine people all worried, rushing to see the Traveler and kinda be like "There's something wrong with Paimon" or something, and she unlocks some hidden power because of her anxiety being too much, and we get some lore crumbs from it, even a scared Paimon not understanding what's going on since she seems very unknowing about herself despite her susmon moments. After all, going with Mavuika would certainly take some time, more than any Paimon and Traveler separation we had before, so that's my theory. Hope it doesn't actually happen because I love Paimon and I get sad when she gets sad 😭😭

I saw a theory that the sustainer might be the shade of void- since she was able to create these dark spaces and was able to push us through the false sky in the beginning, and trap one of the twins. It would make sense since she calls herself the sustainer and isn’t the actual hp. Might just be her duty as a shade to help keep teyvats rules in check. Also would make sense she’s also called the ‘unknown fod’ like the shades don’t like being mentioned by name and none of the archons know who they are. Idk I just thought it was an interesting theory that made sense to me😆

It's very interesting hearing Arnold talk about character attachment in the beginning, because for me, (with the exception of Kachina) it was actually my biggest complaint about Natlan. Like I agree about Kachina, I grew very attached to her very quickly, but the rest? Not so much. Mualani? Not super attached. Kinich? Don't even really remember most of his Archon quest moments. Mavuika? Sure she got some strong character moments, but compared to other Archons I'm not really feeling that much attachment. Compared to Fontaine, Natlan has been a step down for me, really the only character that got done dirty in the AQ for Fontaine was Clorinde if you ask me, she got less screentime after all. For Natlan I feel like that about most characters. I feel bad for Chasca, but not really attached. Xilonen was also just kinda there for me. The lore moments were good, but so far nothing compared to Fontaine or Sumeru. Over all, I really liked Natlan (thus far), but as it stands now, I'd have to humbly place at the same tier as Liyue AQ. Sumeru and Fontaine were just much more tense and engaging. Edit: Really to summarise my thoughts: This was probably the first region where I really explicitly felt like the World Quests and readable lore were more enjoyable (not necessarily better, but just a more engaging experience) than the Archon Quests. (Although again this might be premature considering act V is yet to come.)

I'm excited about traveller's ancient name and what his night soul abilities will be. Mualani's night soul has abilities related to the koholasaurs, Xilonen and Kachina have teptlisaur abilities, Kinich has kukusaur abilities. Ororon obviously has abilities related to the saurian of the night wind and Chasca has qucusaur abilities. If I had to guess Mavuika may have phoenix related abilities for exploration and combat. It would be cool if the traveller has some sort of dragon outfit during night soul

3:49:11 I think the only reason that Mavuika’s attack broke the firmament is due to the annihilation reaction. Pile of celestial/light/imaginary power coupled with an abyss heart/void/quantum power. Actually, there’s been so many annihilation references that maybe it plays a bigger role going forward. Now I’m scared the twins will have to destroy themselves to take down Celestia…also found it curious that Celestia as seen from Teyvat is shadowed so similarly to the moon fragments in the Natlán sky; that would put it outside the firmament. With the hi res pic Arnold took, really highlights the path/loading screen looking part. Walking through the door/firmament into Teyvat gives big Truman show vibes

As much as Genshin's lore parallels Honkai's lore in it's own way (with the whole abyss is similar to honkai) , I'm still impressed how the concept incorporates different cultures inspired by real life cultures. Their beliefs are so different, like Fontaine reminds me of Christianity with the whole prophecy and Noah's Arc concept, to Sumeru with reincarnation from Buddhism, to Natlan with all the tribal mythologies (idk there's several higher beings people from Africa and Mesoamerican cultures believed in), etc. Heck all the archons are named after demons and that lore is what's giving us hints for the each archons plan. I'll be honest when I say playing this game is a bit conflicting from a religious standpoint but I'm still impressed the fact that Hoyo's willing to put it out there. When they compare other gacha games lore to Genshin and say it's really simple and it's bad, I just hear them out and think to myself "nobody's doing it the way Genshin does it"

OUR BOY BENNETT !!!! So I’m starting to think that’s where he is actually from , especially bc The Marajavare is also theorized to be near The Collectives camp as well right ?? I just feel like he has to play some role here eventually And also also😅😂 I’m starting to think we might get the other tribes introduced before and after Act5 …we have cleanup to do from the destruction the abyss caused in this last battle (flower feather and night wind tribes) as well as some more cleanup we will inevitably have to do after act5 is done (the collective) , so I bet they will fit them all in sometime around there if u had to guess

AFter 5.1 is personally started questioning the credibility of Traveler being an alien after this patch. Surely they should know a lot more about the space outside of Teyvat if they used to "travel between worlds". The thought that they are from the unified civ and heavily got their memories tempered with keeps getting louder. Nahida doesnt even have full authority over Irminsul, so what kind of posibilities does it hide that needs a higher power still? Could it be possible that the Traveler got wiped from Irminsul when they got split up? What memories are implanted within the Traveler? My mind is racing, nothing is real anymore to me.

Honestly I haven't watched it yet so don't know if you talked about it in this video so if you did ignore me but I think Traveller ancient name will come into play to save mavuika and where the ancient name will come in play to revive him from ode of resurrection bcz as lord of the night said she only wants death it's doesn't matter who and how the outcome is achieved I know you would be like "in mavuika realm they said if Pyro archon is afraid of death or doesn't give death other with equal value of ppl will die" ik ik But that's also where traveller not being Pyro he will probably become a Pyro archon for a moment bcz as kachina said normal human can become Pyro archon the reason why we don't get the Pyro ability is bcz of that bcz the Pyro ability is already been shared with far too many ppl before for nation so traveller is not able to take it unlike other nation where archon is fixed until they die like makoto or they step down like zhongli so the pure form of elements stay with them I'm assuming that Pyro archon must have good affinity with Pyro bcz ofc it's Pyro archon a Pyro archon can't use hydro or electro abilities I can be wrong but it's on the assumption they must have good Pyro affinity too that's where the traveller comes who is better option then traveller to have Pyro affinity that's I think how we will get Pyro in quest I can't think of other possible reason why traveller can't access Pyro bcz they already given too much Pyro they need to save them for future Pyro archon well the scroll the night lord gave us also had Pyro archon I think I don't remember exactly which doesn't necessarily represent mavuika but Pyro archon in general after all everyone with vision has a chance to be that element archon they don't know that that's the only way i can think they safely rescue Pyro archon and everyone else in natlan And gnosis i honestly have no idea I had 3 ideas one 1st capitano is given gnosis after crisis is resolved as a thank you gift or something like that which is less likely bcz abyss will be suppressed but not be gotten rid of and gnosis is backup plan so I don't think that will happen 2nd capitano dies as foreshadowed bcz of death powers ofc his wish ofc will be related to abyss fight or khenriah disaster can't think of anything else and tsaritsa or jester knew that so they sent columbina as backup well bcz of her theory of being angel/seele which is also low but better than 1st one (also a chance she somehow saves capitano but doubt it) 3rd which is the least likely one among three but heavenly principle wakes up bcz of what mavuika saw and in that heat of battle gnosis is lost I won't be suprised if they could control gnosis and stop archons from using their abilities and when they take her away or do some memory tampering the gnosis is lost during that and somehow goes to fatui or just some early fight between harbinger and celesitia I think the gnosis ability control thing is the reason why zhongli was not that sad about giving it away to tsaritsa for something else in contract exchange which makes sense that other never knew about it bcz in other nations orignal are dead they don't know the consequences of gnosis ei didn't have her for long time so she never found out nahida doesn't remember bcz she wasn't the one to recieve it in the first place folcalor didn't get the chance she barely had any screen time and neuvillete wasn't with gnosis for more than few days well I can guess tasritsa was the one who got her inheritance properly so she knew about it more like the orignals unlike others nation where they died somewhere and they suddenly became one idk about much Just my thoughts out there wanna know if I ever get it right if even little bit of it comes true so just a something else out their I'm not that deep lore reader so might be a chance you wrong me immediately with information you have but still wanted to put my thoughts out there

34:11 There's a hypothesis from a Chinese science-fiction author, Liu Cixin, called the Dark Forest Hypothesis and I have a feeling the writers could have referenced it. Ever since 4.2, a headcanon of mine is that Genshin will play out sorta like Gurren Lagann or Endwalker where a being (Lord Genome/Zodiark/Phanes) decided to control or limit Humanity and its potential thinking that this is all to "protect them" from the doom that lies beyond (Anti-Spiral/Endsinger/whatever's beyond the firmament). Im wondering who or what will appear when the traveller activates their ancient name. We see Tupac and other ancient heroes appear in spirit form. We are having an exclusive name so a hero of the past wont appear before us.

2:05:28 I posted this beneath my original comment but i feel like this is important and a lore tidbit that ive not seen a lot of theorists touch on. but for this I'm fairly sure it ties back to The Sinners. Because Vedrfolnir was the Sinner that brought our sibling to his side. And Gold is a sinner. And makes trips into Irminsul with the Hexenzirkel. So she could easily have tampered with Irminsul to either remove us or add our sibling. Why? No idea. 2:29:16 no we don't???? We have 3 acts left. We're getting one act in 5.2 and the final two in 5.3. in the 5.0 live the devs specifically said the big Archon Quests would be in versions 5.0, 5.1, and 5.3. but we're getting a small one in 5.2 to carry us over.

I wonder if there will ever podcast with Arnold and Ashikai .... unless Arnold just don't like her ideas/theories (that go even further into IRL mythos +/- sometimes other Hoyo games... because let's be honest, if someone still believes that Genshin is not part of Honkaiverse it's weird at this point. Both Honkai and Sea Of Quanta are even called Abyss in HI3). Bonus points for Minsleif and Wei since those two also cook hard also damn our man really needs anime avatar or something since that thumbnail is goofy as hell xD

I wonder if the "Childrean of Murata" is going to be addressed in the final Act of the Natlan's Archon story. That is the Pyro tribe missing in Natlan. It is the only tribe that left Natlan.

"I dont want the anime to be following the events of the game" Welp better prepare to be disappointed because that is most likely what will happen. Game-to-anime adaptations almost always follow the game's storyline in order to bring in MORE people to the game or allow non-gamers to experience the story without having to experience the game. For people who already play Genshin, the anime is more like a treat. If they do do this route, I only hope Lumine's the Traveler this time and Aether's the Abyss Sibling because Aether is already the Traveler in the game's official media. It would be nice to have Lumine be the Traveler to balance it out.

What I’m surprised is that no one talked about the pyro gnosis? Why did it immediately react to the abyss? If it supposed to be remains of the descender why would it react to the abyss?

I don't think the gnosis was reacting to the abyss. I think the abyss sensed that Mavuika was about to harness its power as it drew near, and so the abyss temporarily backed off.

As far as we know, the Captain member of the Abyss Order, but he called our sibling a princess/prince. So it's mean that our sibling was "royalty" before the order, right? Like I said, I don't see discuations about this topic, so I wonder what you think about this, guys.🤔

In Caribert. Our sibling was called Princess/Prince of Khaenri'ah before Abyss order was created. We know that our sibling before us in Teyvat so they became Royalty in Khaenri'ah somehow.
