This is fascinating to watch. You are very talented. It takes me back to 7th and 8th grade. My science teacher (Mr Peterson) taught us to tie flies.We used deer hair, feathers, beads and yarn. It was so much fun and very relaxing. I never tied another fly since but I do remember hopping on the slow train at the end of my road, riding it down to Fruit Valley Rd near Vancouver Lake (WA). My friend who also had his fly from class and I just cast them fly out with the Zebco and we caught bluegill and a catfish that taught me that catfish have nasty sharp spikes and they like to jab you with them. I guess payback is..... You know, ...not always pleasant. But the memory is. Thanks for that.

Wonderful, Dave ! I wonder if you could fill the abdomen with something like a couple strips of lead wire, UV resin or the such to make this a sinking fly?
@flytyingzonedavehise9 ай бұрын
I run it above a heavy lead fly or let it suspend naturally in the slow moving, inside swirls.

Good morning. Thanks for sharing your creative process for making a very natural looking bug. I like how you’re using some unusual materials. The real bugs swim a lot and have wiggly butts. Could you articulate this fly to make it swim with a wiggly butt section?
@flytyingzonedavehise11 ай бұрын
Thank you. Probably not with the air body, but I'll need to think about it. I have made them articulated utilizing other materials.

Hi everyone, if you want to beable to do this , you must first go and catch flies ,larvie, scuds and all other creatures you cand find in and out of the water you fish; take fotos and study the patterns, also study their behaviour ; and see how your fish catching improves, Mr Adams
