If you have one day to eat, this German food tour of Munich will give you some serious satisfaction. I have to admit, I going to multiple back to back restaurants to eat German food is a challenge - German food is so hearty and so filling. By the end of this food tour in Munich, I was ready to sleep immediately!
Here are all the details about the restaurants and prices of the dishes I ate:
1. Andy's Krablergarten
Andy's Krablergarten is known for their schnitzel, and they serve it up in a huge way. The cutlets are made from pork, and they are big and fried fresh. I tried a Hamburg schnitzel with eggs and a Munich style schnitzel with horseradish in the breading. It was fantastic.
Address: Thalkirchner Str. 2, 80337 München, Germany
Price: 10.90 EUR per schnitzel
2. Andechser am Dom
This is a nice German food restaurant, located on the side of Munich Frauenkirche, a major landmark in the heart of Munich. They serve a variety of traditional German Bavarian cuisine. My favorite dish was the mixed sausage plate, but the leberkäse was also good.
Address: Weinstraße 7A, 80333 München, Germany
Total price: 36.30 EUR
3. Ice cream at Schuhbeck's Eissalon
Address: Pfisterstraße 11, 80331 München, Germany
4. Bergwolf
Bergwolf is a German fast food restaurant in Munich, and their speciality is currywurst, a plate of sausage topped in sauce and fries. It’s not the healthiest of all German dishes, but it sure tastes pretty amazing - one of those 3 am kind of dishes.
Address: Fraunhoferstraße 17, 80469 München, Germany
Price: 5.40 EUR
5. Augustiner Bräustuben
Augustiner Bräustuben is a classic German brewery and restaurant in Munich, Germany. You’ll find some very classic Bavarian dishes on their menu and a good selection of beer.
Address: Landsberger Str. 19, 80339 München, Germany
Total price: 24.25 EUR
Thank you for watching this German food tour of Munich. I hope it will provide you with some tips on where to eat amazing German food when you’re in Munich!

Seeing those kids enjoying the icecream was a delight. I'm a 37 year old dad who has a 15 year old daughter. I miss those days when icecream was all it took to bring a smiles, some kisses, and lots of love. No matter where you from, sugar and color is all it takes to bring genuine smiles and happiness from an age when innocence and nostalgia are only becoming to be realized. It's amazing the joy of food.

The food looks great. I've read that Germany has over 300 different kinds of bread and over 1500 kinds of sausage, which means that you could eat a different combination of bread and sausage every day for several decades (if not your entire life) and not repeat a combo. Apparently every little region in Germany has a local special bread which isn't made anywhere else.

@Atlantic Thunder The fact that you only came up with 4 examples shows how great this countries’ engineering is. Yes, the BER sucked, but give me the name of a country without a project that hasn’t been delayed/failed. The VW scandal is not an engineering fail, it’s a masterpiece... Just for the wrong cause. And the other two examples are so ridiculous, I‘m surprised they even made it in your „list“.. Most countries don’t even have an app to track the pandemic.

@@juliusoster4709 The engineering itself isn't terrible, it's quite good,, but the government executing many things isn't what it used to be. The examples are failures of the government, which have an own TV show to be covered. First of all I have family in parts of Europe so I knew Germany food would be appreciated when I learned of places that seemed like more fun to learn about. When I saw "Germany" I figured "Sauerkraut" would certainly be part of what he experienced....and boy was it ever! Looked delicious and I am sure it was! I have family with ancestors from Bavaria so gonna share this info with them....thanks Mark!

german cuisine is typically hearty, finely but sufficiently seasoned and garnished with many different sauces which are usually made from the roast. Most German dishes contain a lot of meat (especially pork because of the history) and the reference to the Middle Ages. There are also a lot of game dishes. With potato dumplings and red cabbage. But there are also vegetarian dishes like Leipziger Allerlei. Because of the possibility of cultivation and stabling, there are many dishes with cabbage, turnips, spinach, peas, beans and pork.
