In case you thought that was it Nico, no that was not the Victory Road storyline you've been grinding this whole game. Remember that random bald Mr Shakedown looking dude that randomly attacked you om the streets? He's basically the main villain of this storyline. There should be a tournament called Victory Road Finals in the coliseum and I think it has to be done with Kiryu. Save up your healing items for this one or it will be kinda miserable lol. Also, there's one more thing left apparently with Ayanokoji, Shinada's master. Try going to see what he has to say. Interestingly enough, absolutely no one else on youtube seems to have this event uploaded in a video so yours might just be the very first.

*Very Important Notes:* There is one more major thing you have to do and its Victory Road, you haven’t actually initiated the final part to the questline yet. **The Coliseum is NOT victory road, its where you have to have specifically Kiryu visit it and someone will go up to you to start the story line.* Eventually an exclamation mark will appear on Bantam during the Victory Road Finals story line. The Victory Finals is actually really cool because it involves all 4 male protags to fight in the event in a full on substory like event, so please dont miss it. Again, it doesn’t activate unless Kiryu goes down to the Coliseum. *_You do NOT need to do the Coliseum itself to finish up Victory Road._* Just Kiryu visiting it. So fun fact, the Jo Amon theme in this game is a reused theme from the Saejima and Kiryu fight in y5. Its not Fiercest Warrior yet but its called *Maximum ill Luck.* It’s a cool ass theme but not an iconic one yet. *Also you haven’t seen Akiyama’s 3rd/Last Red Climax Heat action yet.* It’s called “Final Drive”. Please check it out before you finish the game.

Yeah, the coliseum is notoriously grindy in Yakuza 5 and is an absolute pain for Akiyama and Shinada, so I can see how it can be skipped. But the Victory Road Finals doesn't need any grinding (well, I guess you kind of had to to *get* to the finals), and it is a nice culmination of all the stuff done in the other cities!

So for that one sidequest with the food choices, this whole game has encouraged going to eateries, has had tons of dialogue related to food, even including a early exchange in part 1 where Nakajima figures out Kiryu is from Tokyo given how he likes his broth base. Yeah. Of course, this doesn't stop it from just being health and buffs to most, myself included. And a more important note, you should head to the Coliseum as Kiryu, it's how you continue and finish the victory road plotline.

I recommend doing the Haruka's requests in the postgame before ending this series too. Unlike previous games, its actually quite substantial as there's cute interactions between Kiryu and Haruka

17:45 - They’re local specialties, so it’s a bit tuned for Japan. Mentaiko/cod roe is well known compared to the other options (even convenience stores in Japan have a lot of Mentaiko rice balls.) For Saejima’s, it’s a bit easier, since most Japanese food won’t use rabbit or bear in the first place.

If I remember correctly there’s supposed to be a secret sub story you can do as kiryu that involves the victory road and that bald guy with the tattoos. It’s probably in the guide you’re using cause that’s how I found it.

Having 100%ed this game, I can definitely say that the coliseum in Y5 is the most tedious BS I've ever gone through both in the game and in the series. For completion, you have to get ALL four characters to a minimum of rank 4. Which involves dozen of hours of tricking komaki-difficulty opponents to fall into a bottomless pit in one of the tournament arenas. Then you have to win one last tournament which involves 13 rounds of increasingly strong opponents with the catch that you start at flashing-low health. Akiyama is the absolute worst for these marathon modes (plural, there's multiple) because he is already squishy and doesn't have the self-healing ability that Kiryu and Shinada has. Now back to nightmarity nightmares

The saddest part about Sango's fight with Shinada is that Shinada is not a powerhouse. He's not ridiculous powerful like Saejima and Kiryu. He's not ridiculous agile like Akiyama. He's not even as ridiculously skilled like Tanimura, even if he's all about weapons usage. Heck, as his fight with Daigo shows, he's just a decent fighter at best as he didn't really do any meaningful damage to Daigo. Meaning that Sango lost to what is essentially the weakest Yakuza protag ever. Pretty poor showing for an Amon. Btw, if anyone plans to do this fight, there actually IS a cheese strat against Sango in his floating phase. Just keep drawing and sheathing the Sturdy Knife. Or any knife weapon, for that matter, but the Sturdy Knife works best because of the infinite durability. Both actions do hurt enemies, and it effectively stun-locks Sango for the rest of the fight. And it has to be the knife because it has the fastest draw and sheathing and doesn't make Shinada move from his position.

If you find yourself short on some chat there is an item you get as a completion bonus that you can pick up and then go sell it at the pawn shop. It is a pretty good amount of money and the good news is you can keep picking it up and selling it again. It would be the quickest way to get money if you ever need it. I can’t remember what it was but that’s what I did in the PS3 version of this game. I don’t know if they changed it or took it out for this but that would be weird if they did.

In Yakuza 4, you could train three hostesses at Elise with Akiyama. Tanimura could then date one of them and Kiryu could date the other two. Saejima had no interest in dating in Yakuza 4. But yeah, asking hostesses to move between cities is new. Not as crazy as fighting zombies alongside them in Dead Souls, though.

Nico! You have not done everything! In addition to the hostess, you still have the Victory Road Tournament. You have to go as Kiryu to begin the next section, then eventually you'll see an exclamation point, and then you'll be told the finals are ready. Also, you can still have Shinada talk to Ayanokoji one last time.
