Well done on summary! I was surprised you didn’t mention PTZ cameras as an option(which you’ve mentioned elsewhere), which are more expensive than going the DSLR route, but can be remotely operated, and may bypass the capture device requirements (assuming avoiding HDMI/SDI). I’m looking at $2K for a 22/20x optical zoom NDI model. That is more expensive than a DSLR, but not by much (if at all) when considering comparable zoom range and low light (wide aperature) capabilities, and then cable extenders/capture device. You efforts for the community are appreciated

A Ptz might be nice if you absolutely need to control a camera from a remote location and need good zoom but that's honestly it. They are wildly expensive and offer very poor image quality compared to cameras a 1/4 of their price. Unless you absolutely need a moving camera angle in a place where you can't get a person, stay away from PTZs

I am in charge of the church's live stream here in the Philippines. And your videos helped me a lot but The big problem we have right now is a computer. We are using mobile data and using camera for live stream. Internet speed here is very slow. I hope you can help us. God bless.

Such a great video!!! I definitely made the "rookie" mistake with thinking I could use a cheap HDMI switcher... super FAIL lol, I've since ordered the ATEM by BlackMagic, streaming through Ecamm and Restream io.... !! Great tips and video! thanks dude.

I have 3 cameras, our church is just starting and does not have a budget. Is there a way to connect these 3 camera to my laptop without the video switcher

I am apart of the tech department at my church. We recently purchased a dedicated streaming pc. The specs are Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of ram (not sure about the speed), and Nvidia GTX 1660 super, will that do for a good live streaming computer

Yep, we have a 2013 imac 27 inch, and we’re streaming just fine!

What are your thoughts on using a Sony A6400 for streaming services. I have seen many people promote using mirrorless or DSLR cameras over Camcorders for streaming because of better video image quality. I really liked some of the A6400 videos I have seen on KZbin and was zeroing in on that option. Recently I read that DSLR's will over heat and shut off in the middle of your streaming. Also if you are using it for streaming services over and over you can kill the camera. I have to believe that I see so many people using DSLR or Mirrorless cameras for a reason. If the overheating was truly an issue I don't think so many people would be using them. Can you shed some light on this for me?

Great video, really is helping me manage my churchs' livesteams but QUESTION: we used my canon 70d DSLR to live stream WITHOUT a video capture device. My camera shuts off every 30 mins even though i changed the sleep settings; will the video capture adaptor solve this issue? Please advise, thank you!
