I know a lot of people play the lottery because they think it is their only way to get rich. I understand the chances of this are incredibly small, but I also play the lottery. Each month after I get my paycheck I spend a max of 10 euros on tickets. This money comes out of the cash I set aside for me to spend on whatever I want that month. I know it usually is me throwing away that money but it reminds me of my grandfather who knows suffer from dementia who used to take me to the store and buy a ticket for me every wednesday. A couple of months ago I would have never dared to buy tickets, but I have learned that it is okay as long as I spend all my other money wisely.

Not me. I planned for my retirement starting at 18. I saw my family make HUGE amounts of money only to be broke - and I mean HUGE amounts of money. I swore to myself I would never, ever be in that position- and never have! I Retired early, 7-8 figure net worth depending on markets. Spend my time between my various paid for homes. No credit card debt since 2005, no car payments. I only owe my taxes, utilities, and my AMEX. Period.

There's no such thing as generational wealth that is a myth, generational wealth requires assets being passed down and this is not happened in the black community for the last 400 to 600 yrs, if you measure wealth in monetary then you are missing the picture 💯

Speak for yourself. My Father passed generational wealth to his three children and we are all doing better than he did. I’ll pass mine via trust to make sure it’s not lost in one generation. And trust we are part of the black community and the black people I spend my time with are also building wealth.
