whats crazy is ive been trying to learn to psycho and i seen you attempt it at 1:35 and immediately started analyzing how you set it up and realised i set it up differently i would try and get a reset off the ball then musty but couldnt get any power to send it to the wall fast then seen you get the reset from the roof and keep the ball with your hood and was like ahhhhhhhh lmao

for me freestyling is being creative with whatever you do based on things you know you can do or that work. being able to do the same thing over and over again is what you need in order to do that but you should be able to use your abilities to do something special. yes, going for a flip reset instead of just shooting is a more complicated way but it isn't a freestyle just because this. something special has do be done, for example using that reset either for another mechanic or after another mechanic (for example a flick, pogo, etc.). the same thing goes for ground freestyle. it's not the flipping or dashing itself but the way you implement it into the shot that is important. as an example from the comp scene: being able to speedflip and having a good kickoff are two diffrerent things, same goes for freestyle: be creative with what you're able to do.

Freestyle is what people think that it's too hard to become consistent at it... Then freestylers show them that it is possible : Reset was freestyle then nowadays if rlcs players can't do double then they're just low mechs players. Same for every other one. I hope you freestyler guys will bring down more and more mechs as competitive players could improve from you. Great content btw ! Peaaaace

I agree with faith when he said rank does not matter. My first double reset was is plat 3. Im diamond 2 now and im practicing heli-resets. What i did to be better at freestyling was go into training packs when i fist tried air dribbles then when i got good with training packs, I went into freeplay and practiced setting up my own shots

i used to analyze a lot of clips from jakze and tx's playstyle and learn from them during 2021 , however when i saw people having multiple was of learning freestyling it just widened my approach to it so i would say freestyling is really just doing what you want to on the field in your own method of approach

i've been playing for just over 1 year and one thing i'm just now noticing is when ball cam is off and when it's on when pros play compared to when i'm going for similar shots. switching between the two at the right time really helps

My personal definition of a freestyle is similar, but a hair more complex. Basically, a freestyle is using unorthodox methods to score. Unorthodox defines movements or "flair" that is not commonly used. So a flip reset itself is not a freestyle, but with say, a musty at the end, that's what makes a freestyle. In this definition, uncommon is defined as moves not used properly by most players, but doesn't mean it is rare or even uncommon to see in games.

Major 🧢 C1 with just 150 hours? Triple reset? It takes more than 150h to build the muscle memory and learn the aerial control required to land one useable reset, let alone three. And unless you're the next zen 150h would've gotten you Gold or low Plat, not C1.

good camera and sensitivity settings go a very long way!!!!!! Some aerial sens settings will make your boost wobble all over the place and it will feel less powerful. Try and copy some freestyler settings that uses your controller.

I say freestyling is not ur definition. I believe is it not only above the easiest option. You are pushing yourself to do one of the coolest things you yourself can do. For example freestlying for a diamond could be a flip reset. While at Gc could be a triple musty.

I use the base “sarpbc” controlls and im champ. People couldn’t believe i was using free roll air roll. The only downside is that i kind of calw the controller when i do it but i use the PS3 controller on rocket league because it gives that feel of the original game that i used to freestyle on but usually i use a ps4 considering thats the first controller i played rocket league with in 2015

If you want to freestyle, you wanna use directional air roll. It'd basically mandatory. I'd recommend using it, it helps so much.

Hey faith, I know you probably won’t see this comment, but I’ve recently been thinking about getting into freestyling. i’ve poored just over 4500 hours into ranked and peaked around 1900, and i’ve gotten bored of it. It’s just the same thing day in, day out. so, i decided “you know what? i’m gonna start freestyling. those guys are cool as hell”. so i was just wondering, are there any coaches for this kind of thing? i haven’t really looked around the internet yet, and was just wondering. thanks!
