I use a disposable razor to get the scalp as bare as possible. You have to be careful not to nick yourself, but if you do, just zap it with a styptic pencil. I spray it with alcohol to get all the residue off, so it's sterile anyway. I don't like the C-22 solvent because the smell is too strong, it's very oily, and it's hard to get the oil and smell to completely go away. I do have an oil product I will sometimes use to weaken the adhesive, but it's not a strong-smelling, I use it sparingly and I use alcohol to get it all off. I used to use scalp protector because the shop I was buying from said I should, but I stopped and I'm not sure I can notice any difference. Like you said, you want to get all the stray hair bits off your scalp before you apply the hair, but not JUST because of irritation; all that stuff is visible through the transparent base. You also want to make sure that if you DID nick yourself shaving, there's no blood left behind on the surface of your scalp, because that will also be visible. It doesn't matter as much on the top/middle or sides/back, but if any of that stuff is in the hairline area, it WILL be visible. The part and crown are also areas where that kind of stuff can show through and look a little odd.

It's also important to make sure the base is spread out all the way, and laying completely flat, otherwise you can get bubbles and wrinkles, which can look odd and sometimes feel a little uncomfortable.

Can I ask why do you glue your entire head would that not effect the longevity of the system when cleaning and also breathable which is why it itches? As opposed to gluing perimeter? Just curious

I can't speak for Aaron, but I also apply glue all over, and I can tell you that I do it for the following reasons; 1. I can. One of the advantages of poly skin systems is that the glue won't seep through into the hair like it can with lace systems. 2. It gives a more secure bond all over. I won't have to worry about the middle lifting up when I'm trying to style it, and when the adhesive gets weak, I'm not relying entirely on just the perimeter adhesive to hold it on my head. If you have hair growing in under the base, it's eventually going to get uncomfortable even if you don't have glue there. I don't think the all-over adhesive bond affects the longevity that much, UNLESS you end up tearing the base by trying to pull it up while it's securely bonded (so don't do that!). I haven't had any issues with "breathability". The base is very thin and heat transfers right through it, so it doesn't really get stuffy.

Hi. I have taken the plunge and shaved my thin hair off and am now wearing a hair system. It looks amazing. I can’t use ghost glue as it makes me itch really bad. I use clear glue. The only problem I have is the front lifts really quick. Any advise on that please.

Hi David - first of all, good luck with your hair system journey! It's hard to know why you are experiencing lift. Every individual is different and reacts differently to glue and tape. That said, a scalp protector could be an option if you don't already use one. It seems you prefer to use glue but perhaps you might have to consider tape instead.

how long does it last after you put it on ?
@Lordhair
@Lordhair Жыл бұрын
If we're talking about the hold of the glue or the tape then that depends on what was used and the wearer's body chemistry/environment. That said, the right glue or tape can last up to four weeks.

Hi LH - do you have a link for the new hair system you introduced recently. I believe it's a skin based one but less density than the others ? Thanks

How many times can you take that one on and off before it needs replacing ?
@Lordhair
@Lordhair 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nick - it's more a case of how long the actual hair system lasts rather than the number of times you remove and reattach it. In theory, you could do that as many times as you wanted but the more times you do it, the more 'wear and tear' you will cause to your hair system. This hair system has a lifespan of around one month because it is so fragile but experienced wearers should be able to get longer out of it.

I always have the hair system move on my head at night, it gets fold and creases when I wake up. Is it the way I sleep, my pillow (too soft) what can I do so it will not do this. I also wear a head skull cap. Nothing works.

We're sorry to hear that, Sean. It sounds like it might not be attached correctly. Is it one of ours? Either way, please email support@lordhair.com and we'll see how we can help you.

Why are there no KZbin videos whatsoever of the newer "UTS Brushback" system? It's been available for quite a while now on the website, so it just seems very strange to have not shown any demos of it styled on a person by now. There are endless videos of the standard UTS like this, but still not a single video showing what the newer "UTS Brushback" system looks like on an actual person. Even on the Lordhair website the stock photos of it are not very helpful, because they are not on an actual person or styled. The 2 current reviews of it on the LH website shows one with a pic, but it is so blurry, far away, and look soaking wet, it is almost a joke why that "reviewer" even bothered posting it. I'm not trying to be rude or overly critical, but just frustrated seeing constant new standard UTS videos, but still not a single one of the UTS Brushback on a real person so people can more accurately see what the hairline looks like in real life. I will likely order one - if and when there's a video of it in the future, but I'm not throwing any more money away since quality seems to be declining with the standard UTS as it is.

We certainly appreciate all your feedback. We will hopefully have a customer in this hair system to show you and others soon. The base design of our UTS Brushback is actually the same as our UTS so you are right to check out our UTS customer videos. However, these two customer videos should hopefully give you an idea of how the brushback style can look like with the UTS: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rIjdl5KuirF0m6M and kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXWmiIWLm8SVf80.
