Right on the money. I’ve conducted many interviews in the medical field (hospitals and specialists mostly), and if you can turn an interview on its head while getting the interviewee to become engaged in a constructive back and forth you are instantly memorable, and appear to show greater interest then most.

I remember my interview 7 years ago for a senior position I was unqualified for. Although I knew the basics, it was not enough to lock in the job. However, I saw a matchbox porsche on the shelf of the hiring manager and for the next hour, we talked about cars and Porsches and by the end, he could care less about the interview. I was given the position the next day. He made such a horrible mistake hiring me. But eventually I got the hang of it.

Great information. Thank you so much for sharing that to the world (well those with access to YT or the web). It’s been helping me stay calm and I have to start taking action now

This happened to me with a CEO in Toronto, Ontario. Mirroring, him. Openimg door to pulling out his chair. Also, I kept a pair of non prescription glasses the ceo wore glasses, so I wore glasses. I asked lots of questions. I went from landscaping to having my own office that looked over the CN tower with a very handsome salary.

Very important, as Andy says, check the temperature of the room and identify with common objects. I had less than a grade 12 education and to my surprise the ceo dropped out of school in Grade 8. Aim for the stars and you never know where you will end up.

It would be awesome to see a discussion between you and Chris Voss.

I was told this by HR as a manager. Every one I hired was like me.

Don't mirror your boss unless you're testing your boss to see if he's witless enough for you to avoid working for him. I'm not even a boss, but every year I become acquainted with at least two people who try to mirror me and I instantly want to get very far away from that pretentious cretin. Every now and then I encounter someone who has innate similarities with me and a nice friendship forms from that. If you're trying to get a boss who's in your corner then go find a boss who has actual similarities as you.

🥴 I don't know if I watch Andrew because he's smart and intelligent or do I watch to just look at his healthy beautiful hair! 🤔 Seriously, Andrew, I need to know what products you're using.

I know man, as someone with wavy to curly hair depending on the products I use and how well I take care of my hair, I’d actually be interested in a separate channel or series specifically related to how this man makes this mane possible 😂
