You're right about needing an electric beater for the cookies :) being able to beat the sugar and butter together until fluffy would have given you that cakey texture you were hoping for! You can do that by hand too with a whisk, it just takes some elbow grease. And any time you're going to be creaming butter and sugar, the butter should be room temperature to start.

Hi, Van! So, I used to be horrible with lighting candles as well, but the trick is to turn the candle almost upside down, in a way you can keep the common lighter in a normal position 🥰 I’m loving these holiday videos 🩷
