Learn about the 46 AOP cheeses from France, and how to pronounce their names. Essentially, this is the Ultimate List of French AOP cheeses.
France is renowned for its cheeses. In fact, Charles de Gaule once said: “How can you govern a country which has 246 varieties of cheese?” While there are several hundred varieties of cheese currently made across the Hexagone, a whopping 46 of them are protected by an AOP stamp.
For the purpose of this video, we've organised France's best cheeses by the department where they are made.

Abondance , Banon, Beaufort, Bleu d’Auvergne, Bleu de Gex, Bleu de Vercors-Sassenage, Cantal, Charolais, Chevrotin, Comté, Fourme d’Ambert, Fourme de Montbrison, Laguiole, Morbier, Picodon, Reblochon, Rigotte de Condrieu, Saint-Nectaire, Salers, Tome des Bauges.
Bourgogne-Franche-Comté:
Brie de Meaux, Brie de Melun, Chaource, Crottin de Chavignol, Epoisses, Langres, Mâconnais, Mont d’Or, Munster.
Centre-Val de Loire:
