While Mihawk's backstory may be interesting, I now wonder how Buggy may empathize with him since he too was "betrayed" by someone close to him. After all, the Genius Jester wasn't satisfied with his "commanders'" ideas, even though Buggy's may backfire at some point in the story. But I think in time, they may be able to regain what was once lost to them, and find it in themselves to trust each other for real. Who knows, this could help them avoid making the same mistakes the Rocks Pirates did, whether or not Buggy is legitimately related to them.

Sounds alot Like Vlad The Impaler. If you don’t know, Dracula is Vlad The Impaler After he dies. And He Gets The Title “The Impaler” after the Nobles in his kingdom betray his father and kill him. Its possible thats what made mihawk kill the marines is because they killed his father and betrayed him. He also Kills The Current King Of The Kingdom and Does this Repeatedly to stay in power. And in both Vlad and Mihawks cases All citizens of their kingdoms left because they only knew how to rule with Power and war because thats wht they were taught. With that being said, Mihawks Real Dad Is Probably a Powerful Pirate and His Adopted Father is Garling. Vice Versa of Shanks Case.

Then it might be applied to the Cross Guild, in other words, what if the cause Mihawk finds that is greater than his own ambition, is supporting end of series Buggy. I just can’t y’all. Like to believe this you have to throw out ALL of the characterization of the celestial dragons Oda has ever presented. Marijose is not a meritocracy it doesn’t matter how strong or skilled or genius the slave is that slave will never be a holy knight. Garling executed a celestial dragon for daring to DEFEND A VISITING NOBEL. They would not elevate any slave to holy knight. Mihawk’s backstory isn’t mysterious it’s like Zoro’s it’s unimportant. And I know you said this isn’t power scaling but for real even Mihawk’s lore theories are more based on Shanks than anything the actual character has done just like his power scaling.

They definitely fought for the throne ( Strongest Swordman ) The 9 holy knights are definitely Shanks's crew. regardless of whether there are several people there. Mihawk and zoro master student. Zoro did use the same observation haki that mihawk use during marineford. Directly locate/track something/someone pinpoint ... Now it's nasujuro who use the same type of observation haki locate/track to pinpoint something/someone directly. Nasujuro mihawk master student connection?it's also indicate that mihawk have the same eye power like Saturn. A glance that can kill. Are all the gorosei is mihawk's mentor during his young age to early teen...mihawk speak like gorosei/celestial dragon you only able to adapt that kind of speaking if mihawk is with them from his childhood. What if the white cloud is a natural and willing awakening of Zoan devil fruits and black clouds may be forced and unnatural awakening done by the Gorosei or some scientists or someone like that (for Luccy and all the 5 Gorosei). Since all the black clouded awakenings are of ppl who are at the top of the world. So I think it is possible that black clouds awakenings may be a good topic to make a theory on

White cloud are there only for luffy and Yamato (I think so). They have went through a lot of hardship and pain so at some point Yamato may also have got the same will like her devil fruit due to Oden and his journal, so they may have awakenings which were done by the will of the fruit natural. Black clouds are seen on Lucci, Kaku and The 5 Gorosei. Lucci and Kaku are CP0 members who report directly to the higher ups like Akainu and the Gorosei and Lucci is supposed to be the strongest CP0 member. When the Gorosei's powers were revealed there was no indications that they had devil fruit so it is possible that they may be the devils themselves hence they could have the access to many other things. So what if they could make a fruit to awaken artificially without the will of the user and the fruit to match. This also explains their long lives slightly that their healing abilities gave them a slight immortality or a longer life than normal. Reasons for awakening Lucci's fruit may be that he is strong and is loyal to them. They may even have awakened other like Akainu or any other Logia and paramecia fruit users
