The KMEA All-State Choir sings the Star Spangled Banner every year during the time they stay at the Hyatt Hotel in Louisville Kentucky. This is a recording of the most recent singing of the anthem.

Agree. I hate solos...celebrities singing their style which is sometimes so bad. I rather hear it from a great choir like the Kentucky or a marching or military band.

I rather hear the National Anthem by a great choir like Kentucky's or a marching or military band. I do not like solos or from some celebrity. They ruin a good song like the N.A.

Yo my room was like directly above this on floor 4. An awesome experience. A shame we didn't get to have it last year, and a shame I won't get to do it again (at least if I graduate, lol). There were a lot of talented people there this year, and every year. Hope everyone had a great time and moves on to great things.

Incredibly beautiful, not only to listen to; but, to see all of the young people that are pouring their hearts into the National Anthem with pride as well as faith and belief. These things are hard to find anymore with disrespectful people using their status and/or popularity to “taking the knee” at public events, refusing to salute, sitting on the bench or just plain ignoring it all.

I absolutely love this. It’s just so angelic. Hands down my favorite rendition. And while I can listen to all the years back to back, over and over, I have to say this year is probably the best (again, no matter the year, it sounds amazing).

All sporting events should insist that people performing the national anthem sing it exactly like it is written and get off the individual attention getting changes they make. It dishonors the anthem. Well done choir, well done.

Sing all 4 verses next year! For those of you who don't know the other 3 verses, here they are: O say can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight O'er the ramparts we watch'd were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bomb bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there, O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines in the stream, 'Tis the star-spangled banner - O long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! And where is that band who so vauntingly swore, That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a Country should leave us no more? Their blood has wash'd out their foul footstep's pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave, And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation! Blest with vict'ry and peace may the heav'n rescued land Praise the power that hath made and preserv'd us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto - "In God is our trust," And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. Here is a video of retired Marine Lewis Shaffer singing Our National Anthem in its entirety. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3m7nGVnoKl_r9U

colin kaepernick is kneeling somewhere…
@charlesgrisham38162 жыл бұрын
Might want to listen more closely to the words of the Anthem, "Land of the free." Free to stand, free to kneel, or as many wonderful 'Merkins do: text, read your texts, chew your gum, don't take off your hat, don't stand, go to get a Hot Dog from the Concession/Hot Dog Stand, talk to anyone and everyone, don't put their hands over their hearts. Should I go on Fredeezee? I think you might get the picture. Maybe not, but just might. Make Kaepernick a villain, but say nothing to thousands who disrespect the Anthem and the Flag by doing those things I listed above. Take care, respect the Flag and the Anthem and the next time you're at a game, go over and say something to those people who show their disrespect.

Shame on you to call yourself American. Kaepernick was sitting on the bench because he felt standing was contrary to the recognition of political and social injustices against black americans. That is a righteous, patriotic cause if ever their was one, and hey, you all said nothing then. Not a goddamn word from any of you morality police, only his colleague, a veteran, who suggests he might show respect to veterans, widely considered representative of duty to others, courage in the face of obstacles, and frequent leveler of all Americans: relatable to many black Americans anyway. So now Kaepernick kneels. The authority of the US? Harsh to the black community. The veterans, for service and duty, even unto the black community? They get the respect.
