In SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE, for trophies, trophies will only be unlocked from 1 player modes or by doing a specific number of VS. Mode matches. (NOTE: I won't bother adding All Star. All Star and Mob Smash's All Star Smash will instead be succeeded by the final event on Event Match in the game. That is, Event 98: Fight All Characters.) Here is how you will get the trophies: CLASSIC (NOTE: Trophies and Final Smash trophies for switched-in characters are unlocked at the same time as the original character. So they do not need to be unlocked by multiple playthroughs. Plus the Koopalings are not recognized as separate characters.) 1. Unlock Character Trophies - Complete Classic on Easy or Normal with any character. 2. Unlock Final Smash Trophies - Complete Classic on Hard with any character. 3. Unlock the Master Hand Trophy - Complete Classic on Easy. 4. Unlock the Crazy Hand Trophy - Complete Classic on Normal. 5. Unlock the Galleom Trophy - Complete Classic on Hard. 6. Unlock the Marx Trophy - Complete Classic with 10 different characters. 7. Unlock the Dracula Trophy - Complete Classic with 20 different characters. 8. MOB SMASH (NOTE: 10 Man Smash still returns. But like MELEE and BRAWL, there are no trophies to unlock upon completion. There are three sub modes --10 Man Smash, Century Smash, and Cruel Smash.) 1. Unlock the Mii Fighters Trophy - Complete the 100 Man Smash. 2. Unlock the Sportsmate Fighters Trophy - Defeat at least 1 enemy in Cruel Smash. HOME RUN CONTEST 1. Unlock the Sandbag Trophy - Use all 98 characters at least once in Home Run Contest. VS. MODE 1. Unlock the Super Monkey Ball Team Trophy - Play VS. Mode for 20 hours. Altogether, there are 232-250 generic trophies (counting switched-in character and switched-in Final Smash trophies which are unlocked simultaneously as the original character without having to do multiple playthroughs). There is no more "random unlockable trophy" anymore. And thus, there is no more Lottery or Coin Launcher (unlike in MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4). All the songs from ULTIMATE return in ULTIMATE DELUXE. However, since there's one song from both the Super Monkey Ball and TY the Tasmanian Tiger universes, there are 1,070 songs. Victory themes can still be played. So the four subcategories on Sound Test are Music, Character Voices, Sound Effects, and Victory Themes. Here are the other elements in ULTIMATE DELUXE: VAULT 1. Trophies 2. Sound Test 3. Masterpieces 4. Replays 5. Records 6. Movies All songs are available from the start. So there are no unlockable songs. Also the theme song (from ULTIMATE) has remained unchanged, as well as the announcer and English voice actor of Master Hand and Crazy Hand (Xander Mobus). The enemy team is changed. And it is known as "Fighting Sportsmate Team". They only appear in Mob Smash. (NOTE: Like in MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4, trophies in ULTIMATE DELUXE have descriptions.) The only subcategories will be VS. MODE, GAMES AND MORE, VAULT, and DASHBOARD. Final Smashes in ULTIMATE DELUXE remain unchanged from ULTIMATE. And once again, Bowser's Giga Bowser, Wario's Wario Man, and Little Mac's Giga Mac are again no longer a full moveset transformation Final Smash. They are all a single move and it puts them back into proper gameplay. So we still have Giga Bowser Punch and Giga Mac Rush (for the two characters Bowser and Little Mac). Charizard and Lucario still keep their original Final Smashes (Triple Finish and Aura Storm), but they still transform into Mega Charizard X and Mega Lucario for the duration of their Final Smashes (Triple Finish and Aura Storm). These are the alt. colors unique to these characters: 1. MARIO - Had his Waluigi attire removed and replaced with his old dark blue costume (from SMASH 64, MELEE, and BRAWL). (NOTE: His dark blue costume depicts him with a dark blue cap, a dark blue shirt, and red overalls. This was skipped in the 2 installments SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE, but returned in ULTIMATE DELUXE. That is because Waluigi is now a playable character and he had his Waluigi attire removed. But still, he still uses Builder Mario and Wedding Mario for his yellow and white costumes.) 2. LUIGI - Had his Waluigi attire removed and replaced with his Builder Luigi costume (from the Super Mario Maker series). 3. BOWSER - Had his black alt. color (from MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE) removed and replaced with his Dry Bowser color (to be known as "Dry Bowser"). 4. LINK - Had his Dark Link alt. color replaced with his black alt. color (from MELEE). 5. YOUNG LINK - Had his Dark Link alt. color replaced with his black alt. color (from MELEE). 6. TOON LINK - Had his Dark Link alt. color removed to make room for his Outset Link color (from "The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker"). 7. PIKACHU - Now uses his red, green, and blue party hats for his male red, green, and blue alt. colors. For female alt. colors, the female Pikachu also uses yellow (default), red (red party hat), green (green party hat), and blue (blue party hat). (NOTE: His two female colors from ULTIMATE were removed. This was done like that so all female colors would be identical to his male's. But still, the said character, he still has 8 alt. colors. To avoid confusion, the female colors should be Female Yellow, Female Red, Female Green, and Female Blue.) Jigglypuff still keeps her alt. colors the same. Since Waluigi is a playable character, Mario and Luigi both got their Waluigi attires removed. And since Dark Link is a playable character, Link, Young Link, and Toon Link got their Dark Link attires removed. (NOTE: Jigglypuff still uses her bow for one of her alt. colors. And Pikachu uses a party hat for both his male and female red, green, and blue alt. colors.) So Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Link, Young Link, Toon Link, and Pikachu are the seven characters who had alt. colors removed and/or replaced. Team Battles still remain unchanged from SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE. Since Waluigi, Toad, Toadette, and Birdo are playable characters in the Smash series (beginning with ULTIMATE DELUXE), ULTIMATE DELUXE is the first installment in the series where all of the playable protagonists (from the Mario Party series) are playable characters. That is, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong (from SMASH 64), Peach (from MELEE), Wario and Diddy Kong (from BRAWL), Rosalina (from SMASH 4), Daisy (from ULTIMATE), and now Waluigi, Toad, Toadette, and Birdo (in ULTIMATE DELUXE). And by extension, Toad and Toadette are the second and third hosts (from the Mario Party series) to be playable characters in the Smash series. That is, after Bowser Jr. With the exception of Waluigi, all the Assist Trophy characters will appear (now appearing as 58 returning ones --59, counting Lakitu and Spinies). But this is who the new ones should be: SUPER MARIO BROS 1. King Boo (from Luigi's Mansion) 2. Koopa Troopa 3. Paratroopa 4. Goomba 5. Blooper YOSHI'S ISLAND 1. Kamek 2. Toadies THE LEGEND OF ZELDA 1. ReDead 2. Like-Like 3. Octorok ICE CLIMBER 1. Polar Bear 2. Topi (uses it sea lion form for Japan only) SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 1. Dr. Eggman ANIMAL CROSSING 1. Tom Nook SUPER MONKEY BALL 1. Dr. Bad Boon TY THE TASMANIAN TIGER 1. Boss Cass Altogether, there will be 75 Assist Trophy characters. Since Kamek and Toadies appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, they are the first 2 characters from the Yoshi's Island universe to appear as Assist Trophy characters. That is, starting with ULTIMATE DELUXE. The Yoshi's Island universe has not had any Assist Trophy characters (since BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE). But it does in the series, beginning with ULTIMATE DELUXE. So now, you start with Kamek and the Toadies. But again, there are no newcomers as playable characters from the Yoshi's Island and F-Zero universes. That is, aside from Yoshi and Captain Falcon. Also, just like how the sprite of King Dedede does not appear in N64 Dream Land if King Dedede is present, the sprite of Birdo does not appear in the MELEE stage Mushroom Kingdom II if Birdo is present. The floating model of Squirtle can still appear in the MELEE stage Poke Floats though. That is, even if Squirtle is in the match. All 115 stages from ULTIMATE appear. However, Aiai and TY's stages are the only two new stages in this game. And because Sector Z and Planet Zebes (from SMASH 64) return, as well as Mute City, Mushroom Kingdom-SSBM, and Poke Floats (from MELEE), there are now 123 playable stages. Yes, even the Smash universe stages (ULTIMATE only) appear as retro stages. Medium Battlefield is the only new stage from the Smash universe to appear as a playable stage. That serves as the 123rd stage. There are no unlockable or DLC stages (or any DLC whatsoever). If counting Pokemon Trainer as one character, Mii Fighters, and Sportsmate Fighters, there are 102 characters and 123 stages. If you do not count Mii Fighters or Sportsmate Fighters, there are 93 characters. You can only have 99 if you do not count Sportsmate Fighters.

The new Super Smash Bros series installment for Switch 2 should be called SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE. Masterpieces will return (yes, under Vault). And yes, it has demos from the NES, Super Nintendo, and N64. And yes, it will have the original Super Smash Bros as a trial. (The full version can be purchased for the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online. You will find that in the trial's conclusion. And it gives the player a link to the Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel where the player can purchase and play the full Nintendo Switch Online version.) With the exception of MELEE and BRAWL, but the inclusion of both SMASH 64 and the 3DS version of SMASH 4, the Switch 2 will allow Nintendo fans (if they own a Nintendo Switch 2 system) to play all previous installments in the Smash series. (NOTE: I am still waiting for the original Super Smash Bros to come to the Switch's Nintendo Switch Online. Not only that. But I would not be surprised if it is for Nintendo Switch Online for both Switch and Switch 2. And yes, the Switch 2 will allow the Nintendo Gamecube Adapter be compatible with all games.) Our characters? Well, all 86 characters (count Pokemon Trainer as one character) from ULTIMATE will return in ULTIMATE DELUXE. This is who the newcomers should be (and whether they should be starter or unlockable characters): 1. Waluigi (starter) 2. Toad (starter) 3. Toadette (starter) 4. Dark Link (starter 5. Aryll (starter) 6. Birdo (unlockable) 7. Meowth (unlockable) 8. Mew (unlockable 9. Riolu (unlockable) 10. Medusa (unlockable) 11 Viridi (unlockable) 12. Aiai (unlockable) 13. TY the Tasmanian Tiger (unlockable) 14. Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters (can only be created) Altogether, we will have 16 newcomers (if you count Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters as separate). But in the base game (and if you count Pokemon Trainer as one character), there will be 99 playable characters. That means, there are 91 starters and 8 unlockables. (NOTE: So ULTIMATE DELUXE will go back to having more starter characters than unlockables. The "Challengers Approach" mode is only accessible if the player fails the first time at unlocking an unlockable character.) This means, there will be 98 in the base game. But there are 101 (if you count Sportsmate Fighters and they are counted separately). (NOTE: Of note is that, for the first time ALL the playable protagonists of the Mario Party series will be playable characters in the Super Smash Bros series. That is, starting with Ultimate Deluxe. Since Toad and Toadette are now playable beginning with this game, Peach and Daisy should both get new neutral special moves.) And yes, like previous installments (MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE), in ULTIMATE DELUXE, there should be a set unlockable character to be unlocked last. That will be the third party character TY the Tasmanian Tiger (the mascot of Krome Studios). This is how you will unlock the unlockable characters: 1. Unlock Birdo - Complete the 100 Man Smash or play 25 VS. Mode matches. 2. Unlock Meowth - Complete Classic with any character or play 50 VS. Mode matches. (NOTE: This will only work on Easy, unless both Mew and Riolu are unlocked already.) 3. Unlock Mew - Complete Classic on Normal or Hard in 20 min. or less or play 75 VS. Mode matches. 4. Unlock Riolu - Complete Classic on Normal or Hard with 3 stocks and no continues or play 100 VS. Mode matches. 5. Unlock Medusa - Complete Classic with 10 different characters or play 125 VS. Mode matches. 6. Unlock Viridi - Defeat at least 1 enemy in Cruel Smash or play 150 VS. Mode matches. 7. Unlock Aiai - Play VS. Mode for 20 hours or play 175 VS. Mode matches. 8. Unlock TY the Tasmanian Tiger - Complete Classic or any Bonus Practice on any level with all other 98 characters or play 200 VS. Mode matches. Birdo is guaranteed the first unlockable character you unlock in this game. There are actually 3 newcomers from the Super Mario Bros universe. (NOTE: Waluigi uses the Wario Ware victory theme --sharing the same one as his brother Wario.) That is, Toad, Toadette, and Birdo. Classic remains unchanged from ULTIMATE. However, these are the differences: 1. The difficulty setting is back to traditional difficulty (and can be set to Easy, Normal, or Hard). 2. The number of stocks can be set between 1 and 5. 3. All bosses are back to having traditional HP (at 300 HP --similar to the Master Hand boss fight from Smash 64's Classic). 4. There are 9 stages for Classic. Target Smash occurs after Stage 2, Board the Platforms occurs after Stage 4, and Race to the Finish occurs after Stage 6. (NOTE: The first 2 bonus stages have three generic stages and only vary by difficulty. So on Easy, it's Level 1 for both bonus stages, on Normal it's Level 2, and on Hard it's Level 3. This is more or less the same as BRAWL's Target Smash stages in Classic.) For continues, it again uses a fixed number of coins. The player can now own up to 20,000 coins. Continues will now cost 20 coins (regardless of difficulty). If you ask me how many events we will have for Event Match (this time, it is unlockable --and it is unlocked after you unlock all the unlockable characters), we should have 98 events. All the base game characters will have an assigned event. The only two exceptions (where the player can choose any character) is the final 2 events. This will be the only mode (in Games and More) which can't be done in co-op play (only for Classic and Stadium games --such as Target Smash, Board the Platforms, Home Run Contest, and Mob Smash). This was done like that, due to the number of playable characters in the game. The penultimate event is similar to the penultimate event (and co-op) event from BRAWL, while the final event is similar to the final co-op event from BRAWL and Smash 4 (Co-Op Event 21: The True All Star Battle and The Ultimate Battle). The penultimate event is known as "Event 97: All the Villains". And the final event is known as "Event 98: Fight All Characters". (NOTE: All 98 events will be numbered. That is, numbered 1 through 98.) All of the first 97 events are available from the start. But if you complete all other 97 events, the secret 98th event is unlocked (that being, Event 98: Fight All Characters). The first event even starts with Mario and is similar to the "Trouble King" events (from MELEE, BRAWL, and Smash 4). And it is known as "Event 1: Trouble King and Trouble Prince". The opponents are Bowser and Bowser Jr. And the assigned character is Mario. Both Classic and Event Match have three traditional difficulties (Easy, Normal, and Hard). Instead of using colored words, Smash logos, or unique circles (unlike in previous installments), difficulties in ULTIMATE DELUXE will use books for icons. Easy is the green difficulty, Normal is the yellow difficulty, and Hard is the red difficulty. So Easy is one green book, Normal is two yellow books, and Hard is three red books.

The regular Nintendo switch has a touchscreen that isn’t used very much and I think adding more touchscreen support, including a stylus would help continue game series that utilize that feature heavily on the DS and 3DS like fossil fighters or maybe even a port or sequel of kid Icarus uprising

With the New Switch console I do hope that they allow WW and TP on it. Twilight Princess for sure because I played Zelda a lot but quit some years after. It was that playing Brawl on the Wii got me interested in playing TP so I played it and got hooked again. That being said, Twilight Princess has always had a special place in my heart. Before we get the next smash bros, we should get a complete collection of crossover games: PokemonXzelda (for both of their anniversaries in 2026) PikminXsplatoon BayonettaXmetroid ZenobladeXfire emblem Star foxXkirby MarioXearthbound Ect. Even encouraging 3rd parties to get in on this with SonicXpackman StreetfighterXtransylvania Final fantasyXkingdom hearts(duh) Ect. This will be nintendo's big long build up to a super smash bros game with a much longer and better written sub space story serving as the ultimate sequel to all of this, serving as the main mission of the switch 2.

Ultimate Nintendo Switch to me is 1440p and all games played at ATLEAST 60fps smooth. Preferably atleast 75fps up to 120. Aswell as good amount of storage aswell as efficiency when it comes to battery life. Thats pretty much it. I think this would be an amazing handheld for the next 5-6 years.

What matters a lot to me is SSD storage. After using a ps5, waiting over 1 minute for loading screens is unbearable.

If kids today buy ps5 and Xbox, I don’t see a reason why couldn’t the next gen Switch have higher price point! We don’t buy consoles every year so let’s give us finally a seriously powerful Nintendo console that will not suffer any frame rate issues and draw distance issues with even two generation old games. Nintendo will soon need to compete with the new ps5 Pro and then ps6! I wouldn’t mind paying around 500,-usd for an amazing Nintendo console!

i don't care how much Switch 2 costs, i've been slowly squirrelling cash away for this for years so i'm ready to dump it all in front of Game as soon as it gets released. Also i want the full suit of Resident Evil remakes and Dragonball Sparking Zero available. The only reason i bought a PS4 was for RE2 remake!

If possible, I would rather the handheld screen be 720p, but be Oled and 120hz, than a 1080p 60hz LCD screen.

It will be a hybrid console too so TV mode matters too. How many TVs are 120hz? And what is the price of one? I am sure less than 5% of the games will use that 120hz(120fps) screen considering the processing power it requires. I can see that by the time Switch 3 releases though. They can always upgrade to OLED later in the Switch 2 life. That is not possible with resolution. This device will last until the 2030s, it is a next generation device not a Switch Pro. An upgrade in resolution is something normal. Do you want to use a 720p screen on an 8inch screen device past 2030? Even entry level phones will all have 1080p screens by then.

The switch isnt the most successful console of all time. The Playstation 2 still holds that title. The switch has not even beat the Nintendo DS sales yet. And unlike the PS2, that number includes all variations of the DS. And the fact that they are releasing a new variation of the switch soon, there is a chance is will never reach that. Unless they cheat like the DS and include later variations of the console into that sale number, such as the switch 2.
