I considered it a bit. And the first few things that come to mind are funding, and supply lines. To explain a bit here. We can infer that the invasion into Hylia by Ganondorf took years. The knights were in a very cold climate. I think the only ones able to send any kind of supplies were the Zora or the Rito, and the Rito are a big stretch as I don't know if they were in any way involved and I discount the Goro due to the extreme negative temperatures. It would've taken weeks if not more to get back up there on carts later on, and that's not even discussing possible dangers such as avalanches, snow storms, wild predators and monsters. Hypothermia would've been another as any caravan would need not only good gear, but plenty of rest stops for their horses or oxen. And I can't imagine that there were many. Then add in time delays due to needing to shovel out a road that got too much snow. The cost effectiveness just wouldn't be there. It was manageable when they were essentially headquartered there because they had the manpower to do not only do it, but travel to and fro a lot. It wouldn't have worked in any other situation at the time I think. Then add in later, once things had been more or less resolved and the Gerudo routed with Ganondorf being captured. Hylia as a nation would've been in ruins and Zelda would need to rebuild. Add that into the fact that she wouldn't have infinite money. Even with taxes, it would've strained her budget to go for any kind of enforced military for long. Would it work for a while? Yes. But the land was still healing. People still coming back, repopulating and spreading out again. Rebuilding lives and civilization. That takes generations upon generations. So, she would've had to choose. Do they continue the strong military presence, or do they cut costs as a necessary evil and rebuild? I know she would've had to cut costs and rebuild. And over time, their military dwindled. Peace more or less reigned in some way. Or the hard times left them behind and warfare became a secondary concern to their own folly. I don't know fully, but these are my thoughts so far.

I think there's a lot left to explore with the Ocarina of Time timeline spit. It seems like there were major ramifications on either side of the outcome which ultimately led to TP and WW (and the downfall timeline). Why did Zelda truly send Link back to his childhood self?
@25Erix2 күн бұрын
To answer your question, Zelda explained it at the end of OoT. She wanted him to live out the seven years he lost while asleep in the Sacred Realm. So she sent him back with that in mind.

Auru could quite possibly be the son of Rauru who served in the Knights of Hyrule, and/or quite even possibly trained people in his prime, while also serving as a military advisor of sorts. I dont believe Zelda in Twilight Princess could possibly be the same from Ocarina of Time, as she would have to be much older, given the fact that HoT Link now then becomes the Heroes Shade would of been dead for a really long time after the war broke out, however long that war lasted could easily been 10 years difference, along with huge changes and shifts in geographical areas. Giant chasm canyons surrounding a field, along with various bridges that would of taken years to build, and become battle damaged during the war. Link that we see as the main protagonist grew up in a distant village in the forest would certinly have to be a descendant of the former Hero of Time at some point after his death, and raised alone in Ordon Village. The village leader Bo would probably be related to Link as his step-father in someway, ensuring he's well looked after in the village, and giving him his own home. It could quite also be possible that Bo was once a former member of the Knights of Hyrule, given the fact he's got history outside of Ordon Village having wrestled with the Gorons using Iron Boots which he then passes down to Link, and his connection with Renaldo in Kakariko, which he refers to Bo as an old friend when he tells Link how to get past the Gorons to Death Mountain. There are multiple people in Ordon Village with connections to Hyrule people and the Royal Family than we may realize. Link being told early in he game by Rusl that there was a delivery to be made at Hyrule Castle, and that order would of had to of come from somewhere by messenger hawk. I think it would be interesting to find the hidden connections of the Knights of Hyrule and the people who were once involved with them. There might be hints to them in places you might not of considered, Snowpeak in itself is a mystery in itself, but should explore beyond there.

Aonuma said Twilight Princess takes place roughly 100 years after the end of Ocarina of Time, meaning Twilight Princess Zelda is most likely the granddaughter/great-granddaughter of Ocarina of Time Zelda.

I made fan art when i was a teen about a prequel called legend of Zelda: mirrors that takes place in 2 settings 1 is you play as link from twilight father while link is a kid collins age the other is link from ocarina all grown up wearing the armor the hero shade wears so basically theres a magic that helps the hero guide links father to save link(twilight) and then in twilight princess that same magic helps the shade turn into a light wolf to prepare link (twilight) i drew items characters and mobs but would love a return to this era

@tekkaikenmega5093 күн бұрын
@@cristiansaucedo4707 no you just experience the end of the hero of time before he becomes the hero shade and his influence on links father in twilight kinda like the hero of time is a spirit that is aiding links father by imbuing him his power and knowledge kinda like how Yugi has the pharaoh in Yu-Gi-Oh so you are getting told the what happened in 2 parts of the same timeline to help fill the gap of how this lead to this because twilight princess is my favorite game in the franchise but left a lot of questions unanswered like while the 6 sages sent ganondorf where is link how did he become the heros shade what magic binds him to the form of a wolf with magic similar to the light guardians I think because Zelda told her father of ganondorf betrayal the Royal family let link meet the light Spirits and each giving him a part of themselves so that he can be the back up plan incase the Royal family failed
@cristiansaucedo47072 күн бұрын
@@tekkaikenmega509 Ok. So it would be the Link Between OoT and TP. Not just the 3rd Hero of Time game. Like I said, it sounds interesting. For me, I always wanted OoT to be remade, but with references to MM and TP. So, maybe after you beat the game once, Zelda gives Child Link the Hero's Shield he has in MM. Plus, maybe Child Link can use Epona, just like in MM. Also, Adult Link could defeat a whole bunch of enemies in Hyrule Field and then some knights find him and give him the (new looking) Hero's Shade armor. What do you think?
@tekkaikenmega5092 күн бұрын
@cristiansaucedo4707 yeah the hero of time has an entire journey missing from history a game centered around the hero before he becomes the shade and the purpose of him becoming the hero shade would be so cool to explore Plus it's about time we get to play link as a full adult with a Beard

Very interesting! But I can think of one other factor that rates consideration, that might help to account for some of what happened to the Sheikah in the aftermath of Ganon's previous defeat: the fact that 137 of their greatest and wisest spiritual leaders voluntarily locked themselves away in Shrines to await the Calamity's return. Those monks presumably had been a guiding influence for the Sheikah, who'd have fully supported their alliance with the other tribes against evil, and the mass departure of so many of them would've left the remaining Sheikah vulnerable to the influence of hotheads and demagogues spouting anti-Hylian grievances. Without the monks' voices to calm everybody down and remind them that cooperating with Hylians was the goddess's will, the tribe soon split into factions; later, once the Shrines' purpose was forgotten, rumors of what "really" happened to the missing monks would've stirred paranoia and conspiracy theories among Sheikah and Hylian alike. Heck, later Hyrulian kings might've even suspected that the vanished monks - men who's be awfully dangerous enemies, if Maz Koshia was typical - had joined or even *founded* the Yiga Clan.
