I didn't actually know the full reason behind the halal process, only that it involved all the blood going out. Now i know and have even more respect. Would love to try this food one day
@nicholassmith79843 жыл бұрын
It doesn't sound like something that could be done on an industralised scale either, so it'll probably be higher quality meat.
@HassanAli-rb5hq3 жыл бұрын
Halal meat is basically predicated on mercy- to reduce the animals suffering. The knife has to be sharp and cut very quickly. The animal can't even see the knife or the blood of other animals before its death, bc it'll get scared and then its not halal. An animal that is too young, sick is not halal. If someone like today in the factories, abuses an animal that animal is not considered halal. The animal must be treated well during its life. The reason you say Allah's name is bc, it's like taking permission from him to kill this animal, bc it's for the purpose of consumption. This is a good video that explains it better. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJSZh6ODhdh3o80 That's why I don't think halal can ever be industrialised. Bc the conditions alone will render it haram.

@@Jess38044 no problem. Halal and kosher- fun fact Muslims r also allowed to eat kosher bc Jews r considered the people of the book. Christians too but I think there's has been lost to time- from what I know. But anyways their both portrayed by the media to be barbaric and so backwards. And we're like no those r actually way better than the industrialised process

These guys shape our local communities and are vital in feeding us so its awesome to give them exposure. These places are where you'll get some of the best tasting food around. Middle Eastern food is some of my favorite on earth, but I was not aware of any traditional Palestinian dishes until this episode. I would never live in the concrete jungle that is New York, but it, and LA, are American birth places for the masses to learn about a wide variety of cultures through great food. Food, music, and dance are the single greatest contributors to bringing all folks, from all walks of life together, but food is the clear winner. Some folks don't like certain types of dance or music, but rarely is there a moment where folks don't want to try new flavors. New textures not always, but flavors tend to open folks up to a wealth of worlds. On a slightly somber, but important note, Palestine is being invaded and there are UN recognized illegal settlements on Palestinian land. That should be dealt with if we even remotely care about freedom to live the way they wish to live. That last bit was brought to you by an atheist. I have zero dogs/gods in the fight, but facts are facts. If we are suppose to care about what the UN thinks, then Israel is out of line with the agreements set forth by a wide swath of countries. If we don't mind disregarding the UN, which is fine by me, then we accept that might is right and we hold democracies in higher esteem than that of countries/cultures that suppress women's rights, have little to no freedom of speech, press, religious freedoms, etc. Freedom to be ones self is paramount in my eyes, but if rules are rules, then they are being broken by one nation and we should call them out on that front. That modern absurdity is complicated to no end.
