Hi Chris I am from the Bahamas and I love watching your channel. I don't see you have much Bahamian cuisine in the show, so maybe you should come down and get a taste of some of our authentic dishes too. Love love your recipes still! BTW our name for scotch bonnet pepper is goat pepper and you find it in almost every home. Much Love! like; Peas N' Rice (different from Rice and Peas :-) Bahamian style Mac N' Cheese Peas Soup N' Dough Boy Sheep Tongue Souse Conch Salad Scorch Conch and the list goes on. lol. BTW we use alot of tomato paste as opposed to ketchup.

Would the heat from the peppers penetrate the shrimp shells? I just remembered to ask that. For the colder Canadian climate, that would sure warm someone up fast.
@caribbeanpot7 жыл бұрын
good question. While not directly, it will go through the cuts on the back. plus, there's no way to peel them without getting that heat all over them. So be mindful that no matter what, they will be HOT

like the concept but as you said Jamaican shrimp is a little different I'd make a marination instead but it, looks good with all those colour
@caribbeanpot7 жыл бұрын
be mindful that if you marinate seafood for too long (depending on the marinade) it can start cooking the seafood prematurely. BTW, not sure if you've had then @ “Middle Quarters” but the recipe is very basic and for the most part no marinade/marination
@everythingjamaican3527 жыл бұрын
I do have middle quarter shrimp I don't add the marination until I start cooking these days I used the flat grill
