Hi Chris! I can’t thank you enough for this recipe. It is quick simple and very tasty. My friend is from Trinidad and when l told him l wanted to make pepper shrimp, he told me to put oil in a pan, fry up ketchup and throw the shrimp in and use Tabasco sauce. He told me to me to fry the shrimp for 10 mins!! Good thing l did not fry it for 10 mins as he told me. When l tried the other stuff he told me it was yucky!! I then found your recipe and l was in heaven. I never told him l found it on your website. Thank you so much for sharing this!! You are amazing!! Thanks for the visuals and the written instructions!!

so I tried this method an add a touch of paprika, cayenne pepper premento peppers, sweet peppers, crushed red pepper touch of oregano, and cilantro an grate some ginger an I must confess my goodness it's hot. mind you I have no hot peppers in it. the basic peppers an ginger with a touch of ketchup an hoy an spocy bbq sauce did the job just right, an it's beautiful in appearance.

Just made this with a twist! watched the video this morning, so I had to try it. I used one habanero instead of the Scotch Bonnets. While I followed the recipe up until the end, I made sure to add more cracked pepper into the pan while sautéing. After, with the shrimp still in the pan, I squeezed in some fresh lemon and 1/4 cup Chardonnay, let it reduce, tossed in lemon zest and parsley, then about a 1/4 cup of parmesan! Mixed in some linguine and served it up. I now call it Carribbean Peppered Shrimp Scampi and it will be my new go to! You may call it sacrilegious, I call it one hell of a hybrid! I can't explain the complexity of the lemon and habanero together! 😍 Thanks Chris!!!

caribbeanpot I can handle wicked spicy stuff like this, I was born into a family who literally eats packs scotch bonnets (I'm not that crazy though) but I will start off a bit milder and work more heat in when I'm more familiar with the recipe.
