I’ve been a big Spartus fan ever since the Apollo came out. Best paddle I’ve ever gotten. Glad they are in the S Tier. The paddle that I will eventually get is that Monarch All Court, which I’m glad to see is also S Tier. Really love the wide bodies and the longer handle on the Monarch will definitely help out as I’m doing some twooey backhands too. I have big hands, and I can still do twooeys on the Apollo but it’s a little tight. I definitely would buy another Apollo, once it needs to be replaced.

pretty happy with my first upgrade being the Spartus Apollo now, i know the handle isn’t for everyone but man backhands feel amazing with the larger space, and my hands still fit well enough to do two hands and even quick flicks. but i know it’s probably high up there for the olympus, so i’ll keep an eye on it haha. i’ll also have to check out the other S tiers for sure. i know it might be a bit of work, but do you guys have a top recommendation for each of the S tier companies? would love to know what is the best paddles you’ve tried from each of them! otherwise i’ll probably just look around at your other reviews!

I have a question…I’ve been playing seriously for about 6 months. A very athletic 65 year old. I was recently rated a 4.0. I’ve played with Selkirk Luxx elongated, Perseus, Mod TA 15, Scorpeus 14mm, Mach 2 Forza. Play best with the Mach 2. I want a little more power and pop. My strong suite is drives and drops. Any recommendations. I like lighter paddles.

I’m assuming the Mach 2 Forza 14mm right? The main widebody (same shape as the M2F) that would give you more pop and power is the Paddletek ALW-C 12.7mm (super light around 7.6oz). It has a 5.25” handle and they have a 5.5” handle coming out Oct. 1. Some other widebodys coming out in October are the Ronbus Ripple R2 and Neonic Flare Prime that will have mode pop and power.

I have only hit the Aero S but I like it. Great feel for and edgeless they did a good job weighting the perimeter it has amazing control and spin. Low on pop and power

@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball I’m looking at getting a lighter paddle as I’ve been having trouble with my elbow. Any recommendations that are comparable to it? I like the way it plays and the weight. I just don’t know enough about Holbrook and it’s on the pricier side I feel.

@@haydenlipsey14 They are definitely on the pricier side. It performs well. The new Flare Prime X is coming out Nov 5th at 7.7 oz and for $126 it is a more poppy and powerful paddle If you want a light weight option that is a better value.

I liked Jacobs idea having Honolulu at #1. You switched it to Ronbus because of innovation. Honolulu has better paddles, paddle of the year most likely, They added J2KTi to their lineup, they offer way better prices for top of the line paddles with top of the craftmanship & materials. They dont have core crushing problems, and they stamp the John 3:16 on their padles. Love it. Robus paddle lineup isn't that great. You both said it. The Ripple hasnt been released to the public. Ronbus only sold Ripple to others that already own their paddles. People like me haven't even had the opportunity to try it yet. It nay not even be released this year because of the Beta issues and is taking way too long to complete. I've enjoy trying various paddles through demoing and watching peolple like Jacob & other popular content celebs in the pickleball relm got me to notice Honolulu. I own a few of their paddles, as my main. They have anazing customer service vs Ronbus for instance and 6. 0 in my opinion started the hybrid design. David please look at these companies from a consumer prospective next time. Thank you Jacob for all of your hardwork. I really enjoy your show.

@@SukieNau-r1t So the R2 ripple is easier to control and the R1 after gettin hotter has been harder. Olympus has been great for me with my weight setup and getting it dialed in control hasn’t been a problem for me. It takes some time if you aren’t used to poppier and power paddles. I just got the new ALW 14.3 with the 5.25” handle very good paddle especially with added weight if you want a widebody right now. Olympus is my personal pick but if shape is the decision ALW 14.3 is excellent if you want more control. Ripples have more power.

Spartus; Horrible customer service. Ordered the Olympus (yes I know in high demand), web site indicated 3-5 business days to ship. This was two weeks ago and it has not shipped. One week ago I sent a status inquiry to customer service, with no response. Contrast to Ronbus: Ordered the Ripple (also in high demand) on Friday, shipped on the next day (Saturday), with expected delivery on Monday. This is how you grow your brand, under promise and over deliver, not the other way around.
