Super cool. Looks like the guitar Frankenstein would play, but such a clever idea to use the Jamstack interface with a phone for amp simulation.

It sounds great, and would be cool for practice. I don’t love the aesthetics, but portability has its price.

Nice concept. Still, I wonder why each travel guitar maker lives on their own island and they don't combine the good stuff from others: Furch makes a well working snapper that allows unhinging and fixing the neck in a second and well. That enabled super portability. (guitar: Little Jane) Snapdragon: their Snapaka has light weight detachable guitar arches so while you pack it as a stick, you can then set them up on both or either side(s) for full body outer shape. And when you have a neck that you can dismount, you have space enough for tuners and to put the amp in the back where it is most comfortable, just like with a regular guitar. Pirck-up customization: Why is there tons of travel models out there but almost none have single coils for a Strat tone.

Robin Trower sound! Pretty close at least. Very cool. I’ll have to check this out.

That's Kickass!!! I do have a Gear trick I do, but not as compact. I use a VOX Classic Rock Amp Plug, and Aux wire it to a Blu Tooth Speaker I mount on my guitar strap with Rubber Bands. I can rock all over the house. With a full size guitar, of course, there have been many a door jamb guitar neck duels :-O. The Jam Stick makes it more versatile, for sure.

I know what Im about to describe is alot more expensive, but its what I use for my travel rig and I love it. I have my strandberg (4.5 lbs and a real fullsize guitar that travels easy because its headless), my xvive wireless in/out fobs, the redline micro 6 pedal amp, and a bose iphone speaker. They all fit in my strandberg gigbag and the sound is killer. With the wireless xvive system, you can just set it up in front of you and you not attached to anything!

Reminds me of that Hendrix footage where he’s standing in front of two Marshall stacks warning the audience to watch their ears. Oh, and Buddy Miles forever.

The garage band effects make it sound like Robin Trower. Good stuff.

Your Garageband patch sounds cool. Kind of reminiscent of Peter Frampton with the talk box. Visually, though, its straight up Devo with the effects all strapped to the guitar. Two weird, vintage references for your modern, high-tech rig. Very cool. Thanks.

:)) weird looking, but nice ! I think the whole body and neck are maple. I use the Vola Anygig as a travel guitar for 2 years now ! It's incredible how good it is for the price: not a toy in any aspect. The neck is very comfortable and the pickup does about everything I need. I have the older model (w/o the 3+3 tuning pegs) and I had therefore to replace the tuner buttons with "mini dome orbs" by GlobalOrbiter (seen on the Guitologist's channel). Awesome stuff: -Mounting is a piece of cake following the instructions -Look astonishingly good -The strap hole attached through the D tuner is consolidated, holds better in place, does not wobble anymore, which is an added bonus -Tuning is much easier and precise -Well packed & fast delivery -Allen wrenches included (2), which is nice As an interface I use - just like you do in your vid - my iPhone with Bias/Jamup/AmpliTube/GarageBand/Yonac's ToneStack which is great. All going into a Bose Bluetooth Speaker. The nicest thing is using MidiGuitar for iOs by Jam Origin. Turns you guitar in a MIDI tool, whereby I can play piano, Hammond organ, Sax, acoustic guitar, 12 string, Fretless bass, Brass section, strings... you name it and record it in multitrack mode (32 tracks on my iPad). So, I have an ultra-compact travel gig AND studio on the move. The results are more than pleasing. Cheers R.J. ! \m/

You rock my friend. Digging that Robin Trower sound. I am in the market for a travel guitar. This seems to a better fit for me. I don't want an acoustic neck. Thank you for the informative video minus the bs. You're my kind of musician friend.

Yeah, but does it have a swivel out helipad for docking/charging a drone on? How about a bendy thingy to attach a gopro? I think that’s the only thing this absurd, power ranger guitar is missing. That and a VR headset.

Rj-any portable acoustics you know of or would recommend? Nearly lost a 1930- Johnny Marvin Ukulele in Australia(pre-cites) as they werent going to let me on with it even though it was smaller than most carry ons. They were going to sieze it just because it was an instrument. I persisted but the airlines there are horrible about guitars down under. Im looking for a decent sounding acoustic where you can break the neck down and store it as carry -on. Im a hippy when it comes to playing guitar on vacation.

Did that do any damage to the inside of the Anygig When you added the strap button? I just dont wanna mess with anything on the inside when I add mine This rig set up is great 👌

It's solid from the spot he added the strap button. It's mostly solid excluding a hole that goes from the pickup to the output.

Bracket Thing Swings Out! Sounds like a small amp, though. Maybe someday before I'm sent off to the farm, somebody will figure out how to make tiny speakers sound good. Imagine how big of a deal that would be for everything from microwave beeps to mobile phones to tiny guitar amps.

I've been trying all of these types of things since 2006. The best portable rig is still a Roland Microcube. If you can't get your tone out of that, you probably don't have tone to get.

Yikes, I should have compared prices before suggesting the Fusion guitar: Your rig-less than $600; Fusion-$1300. I just assumed the Anygig Guitar and Jamstack Amp would be expensive. That $700 difference could be used for traveling so you'd need a travel guitar rig. Okay, I'll stop typing now.
