Believe me everyone when I tell you you always want to use softened water whenever possible in any pressure washer. Especially a heated one like this unit, or any other 1 when you're washing vehicles. Hard water spots can etch your finish or paint or glass.. You may still have spots with soft water but they're are the kind that will wipe right off.

Great video. Looking at a parts breakdown for a Hotsy 555SS, I think there is supposed to be a rubber vibration mount on the bottom of the pump body.

In my eyes you've "made it" if you have a lift or a hot water pressure washer. Good work man

Good to see you back putting out a video, Blake. Keep them coming. I have a friend that drove a cookie truck, then switched to Hotsy. Great machines, even the smaller ones. But they are proud of them, even used they typically are proud of them. Great find!

I have the same hotsy, mine has a a rubber bumper under one corner of the pump , it doesn't attach to any thing else solid. Good luck , I store mine full of RV antifreeze

Hi great to see machine working and I can't recommend enough to you get a turbo/rotary nozzle and foam cannon matched to your machines pressure and flow rate ,if you don't already have 👍

Good rebuild Blake, even if it did take you 6 months...lol. About 35 years ago, I had a machinery pressure washing business, 4-F350's with steel flatbeds which had a Hotsy diesel driven/fired pressure washer mounted on them. And towed a 2-axle trailer with a plastic 500 gal. water tank. 150 ft. of washer hose (1/4" hydraulic hose). Good business until one of my crews peeled the paint off of a D9H dozer using a zero degree nozzle with the water temp set to lava!, and the equipment owner sued me for a total re-paint of a 20 year old machine. That was about a $30K mistake. Lesson learned.
@ChiefAUS3 жыл бұрын
Did you any kind of insurance to help cover that $30k?
@dm-zx7xb3 жыл бұрын
Also wondering
@joemascioni31013 жыл бұрын
@@ChiefAUS Yes, I had business liability insurance to cover the costs. My problem was that the person who did the damage was an employee and therefore the insurance company claimed he was negligent in his actions. So after the claim I got dropped for being "high risk". And the machinery owner, did the re-paint out of spite. It was a 20 yr old machine that sat outside all of its life and was faded and rusty. But, we are still somewhat friends today.
