These videos are really helpful. I played Re:Coded a while back before I even touched the other entries and now that I'm going through them all, these really help elaborate on points I'm fuzzy on. Plus I came close to finishing Re:coded back then but never did, so simply watching the recap instead of starting over is a nice time saver.

Well your in luck because this game is pointless for the overall narrative of KH3. All you really need from this game is that Xehanort is back, something that been remined in every entry after 2 anyways. So basically just ignore this game entirely.

Agustin Freyre lmao, all the games are connected... i see you havent played them all. The only shitty one happens to be... re coded/coded. While the story is pretty ass, but if you really cared about how mickey found out about everything that he knows in kh3, there ya go. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep explains everything that was unanswered in kh1 (how riku had the power of the keyblade, what the legend of destiny islands is, how ansem was created and why he looks like riku, etc.), while KH ReCoM and KH2 are both continuations of KH1, continuing the Xehanort Saga. Finally, Dream drop distance, which is a game that, more or less, is the mark of mastery exam where riku saves sora from being plunged into darkness. It also sets up sora to have zero abilities in kh3, because as we know, he cant ever have those when a new game comes out. KH 0.2 is the story of aqua in the dark realm, and how she helps mickey and riku close the doors to kingdom hearts (in kh1). In reality, every game is important to some degree. Now, why are they making a Kh3? Well, when someones nobody and heartless are both destroyed, they come back. Since Ansem is Xehanorts heartless, and is destroyed in the kh1, and xemnas is xehanorts nobody who is destroyed in kh2, master xehanort comes back and is tryna kill everyone. Great story, the end.
