🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZbin yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthev... and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyro... The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyro...

My tiny great nieces play on one and it's been spotted in various photos of the children, mum and dad pinch it in the evenings so I'm making the girls a new one. Also just finished one for a friend for Christmas. They last ages and wash well, lovely and warm. Great to make whilst watching TV.

I was making a crop top but it was my first crochet project so the whole thing came out horribly. Now I'm adding more yarn to turn it into a desk blanket (not long enough for the bed but perfect length and width for sitting at my desk to work). I can treasure it as my first project, see all the mistakes (and improvements) while having it keep me cozy. I'm going to add more colours just for fun. It's not going to make ANY sense when I'm done with it but I will love it for what it is :)

Thank you thank you thank you so much if it wasn't for you and your videos especially the stash buster blanket totally got me hooked. I finally finished my first large crochet project. And thank you so much for the advice in the videos. I am so much the indecisive personality who can't pick what color they want to use or what colors go together. I did it exactly as you said, it used up my whole stash of yarn, I didn't get hung up on the color choices. I grabbed some yarn my hooks pulled up the video hit play and started crocheting along with your video and as I was crocheting I was like oh my gosh what she said is so true and the blanket does get really really freaking heavy it's the heaviest blanket I think I've ever owned huge heavy and I use three strands. It turned out absolutely beautiful!! Now I'm confident in my crocheting skills. And it totally took my crocheting to the next level as well as when you're making this blanket you're not thinking about the colors you're putting together you just I just grab random colors and as I was going along that's when I started realizing oh my gosh these colors look absolutely beautiful together oh I definitely don't like these colors together. love ya thx again

I’m working with two #4 yarns, and an N hook... The main yarn is Lion Brand Ombré...colorwaybHAPPY, and various colors of LB Ice Cream, Cotton blend, plus some solid colored yarn.. . I’m usurping n HDC stitch. I love it.

12 cats! Wow! I'd love 12 cats - do they all get on or do you have the personality clashes my 4 have (temperamental sods haha!)

I didn’t look at all of the comments, but I subscribed to your channel and website. I looked through both trying to find how to start this blanket. Have you already posted a video about that?

3- heavy!! I’m doing one with yarn that’s wayyyyyyy more than a year old that I’ve put up......saving. 🤦‍♀️ if you drop a color. Mine is only 2 strands and sc !! If you check “ behind” you it will be noticeable if you drop a color. Love making this but I live in Georgia (USA) and it very seldom gets real cold but I hope ! 😂😂

That looks amazing!!! I love this idea!! I'm going to do this!! But, so far I don't have too much extras, so I plan to make a little " mug rug" first and see how that goes... Hooked by Robin hooked a new sub🤩

Thank you for this idea. I inherited a bunch of mismstched yarn from my grandmother. There wasn't enough of any one thing to be useful, and I hate scrap blankets that are just stripes of mismatched yarn. I find them irritating to look at. This allows so many different colors that normally would look terrible together to blend amazingly well. After combining my scraps, her yarn, and some supplemental clearance skeins, I got a blanket large enough to cover my queen size bed, and boy is it heavy. I weighed it and it's around 10 lbs. Why spend hundreds on a weighted blanket when you can just make one! So far its one of my favorites things I've made.

Hi Danielle, that sounds amazing!😃 Perfect size and like you say, weighted blankets are expensive so it is great you could make one.x
