I'm surprised how low you rated the Wrangler - maybe the authors of the plugin forgot about it's hidden stat: IT DOUBLES SENTRY'S FIRING RATE. So on TF2x10 it should shoot a blizzard of perfectly accurate bullets.

Another note about the Eureka Effect is that it has the unlisted downside of also shaving the returned metal from the widowmaker nearly in half. Not sure if that has any meaningful repercussions on the x10 Widowmaker tho but in Vanilla TF2, they are a fatal combination to have together.

I love these videos, good work, only complaint is that the footage us only with one loadout, which is ok if you are the kind of guy that stick to the best or whatever you like, but for the purpose of these videos i think you really should take footage, even like for a small amount of time, of how all the weapons work

FUN FACT if you get even a single Frontier Justice crit in 10x, pick up a building while holding the FT then quickly switch to your pistol as you put it down you will have infinite pistol/melee crits. Being healed by a dispenser/the cart/a medic or switching back to your shotgun removes the glitch.

It would be really strong but it still wouldn’t be fun at all to use so people wouldn’t. In normal TF2 deleting a whole Uber is incredibly strong it could just be hard to hit the medic as engineer but definitely doable if you’re looking for it

Fundamentally flawed design. As FSoaS pointed out, it’s a weapon whose upsides only come into effect if you don’t kill your target, and the point of a weapon should be for your target to die.

Not really, the pomson in x10 is bad because a medic or spy can get their Uber or cloak back much faster. In vanilla running into certain death and hitting a medic once would be game changing

One thing I feel would 100% help the videos is to use the weapon you are discussing in the gameplay feed. Some weapons can work strangely or the strategy you want to use is not immediately obvious reading the stats alone so watching footage of an unrelated loadout doesn't help convey the point. Aside from that great video and can't wait for the next ones

Jag, rescue ranger, wrangler on higher tower. Once you fall because of too many players came to annihilate you, go combat engi, Widowmaker, +250 HP mini wrench, and lightning ball bataillon backup removal (alternating it with Widowmaker you can have infinite flashbang that delete rockets one shotting you, while your sentry is building/shooting)

The Eureka effect has one other use than just 'get to obscure sentry nest locations without letting spies through' If you are good at being aware of when you're in a fight you can't win, the Eureka can essentially act as a 'get out of death free' card, by literally just teleporting you out of dodge, and back to the safety of spawn. Can be particularly helpful for the rest of your team by denying snowball items from using you in their snowball (IE., preventing kunai spies from using you as a backstab to refill their health). Though again, it relies on the self awareness of knowing when you're about to be in a fight you can't win, before it's too late to use the Eureka effect to get out of it.

i would bump the jag up a tier because a) if youre using frontier justice, you dont want to repair your sentries anyways, and having nigh instant level 3s is nice for odd spots, and b) if youre using the pistol the rescue ranger also pairs with it rather well.

Cause I noticed that danger shield snipes have fuck loads of health.. but then also gain health from enemy pyro attacks? Cause the Darwin's health bonus was pre JI but it still has the fire immunity of post rework as well.

For some reason during the talk of the Pistol I was reminded of Spy's Trash Death Laser. Trash was a joke MvM mission that potato.tf ran once, and it severely jacked up the stats of everything. For Spy in particular, you backstab one robot and you get 40 seconds of crits, and that turns the stock Revolver into a death laser that just shreds Tanks. It was absolutely majestic. I wish Trash still existed, it was the only one of those waves I actually wanted to play more than once. Also, what would be the best loadout for being a madlad and trying to actually dunk the cart on Highertower?

Crit meatshots on shotguns do 180 damage, because crits don't take ramp-up into account, so you're dealing 10 * 6 * 3 damage instead if 10 * 9 * 3.

Besides crit pistol memes, though, engineer is kind of countered hard by homewrecker pyros, kunai spies, and direct hit soldiers. Doesn't do particularly well vs stock or 2000 ammo huo long heavies either. Idk why so many people play engie on 10x highertower. They think they're trolling but they are prey to be bullied lmao. You can set up in the best spot possible but I can just detonator jump right at you from spawn. Hes too vulnerable and engineer feels like a class who can only get away with things when the enemy team is kind/dumb enough to let him get away with things. You'll do well when the entire enemy team is running in straight lines as M2 pyro sure but as soon as someone is sick of your shit and knows what to do about it you might as well change classes because there's nothing you can do to stop a homewrecker or DH soldier. Which might make engie seem good because he requires specific counters but the thing is it takes the engie way more time and effort to go set up somewhere compared to a pyro who can access/destroy his nest instantly and with ease. And yes there's battle shotgun engie who, let's face it, is a worse heavy who's biggest strength is building a teleporter to a high place on the tower (until a homewrecker pyro becomes aware of it at least) The crit pistol glitch I mentioned in another comment would totally put him in an even better place than heavy, I think, if it weren't for the fact that you are pretty flaccid until your mini sentry can pick off a powerjack pyro or something, which it can't always do depending on the enemy team comp.

i always thought the reason the widowmaker only cost 3 metal wasn't because the devs necessarily fucked with it but because when buffing the widowmaker forever ago, the vanilla tf2 devs cut the firing cost from 60 down to 30 possibly by adding a hidden cost reduction stat rather than actually changing the default value so it's basically multiplying a hidden -30 metal cost, other weapons in x10 have had similar changes where the vanilla devs would buff something like a slow reload speed by not changing the default value but by adding a hidden multiplier to it and then in x10 it suddenly had insane reload speed. or the x10 devs just fucked with it, idk

Here are two secondary weapon concepts for the engie: The sharpshooter: a prosthetic left hand which is equipped passively. • replaces sentry guns with radar turrets • radar turret's target is marked for death • upgrading radar turret increases its range • radar turret cannot shoot + 25% less bullet spread on wearer The gunshow: a prosthetic right arm from the wrist up which is equipped passively • replaces sentry guns with sentry bots • sentry bots are mobile and will follow their creator • sentry bots are affected by headshots, afterburn and debuffs + 20% faster movement when hauling buildings

Both of these seem quite op, the radar we will not know how strong it is unless tested but a moving sentry gun seems very strong, regardless of if its effected by debuff as it has perfect aim and will annihilate anyone in a 1v1, especially with a engie beside it.
