That's what I am waiting for. Thank you and it helps me to decide which to buy.

Seymour Duncan vapor trail. It’s analog, it’s got modulation, it sounds amazing. It’s under 100 on reverb and there are several of them. Absolutely slays these. You won’t be disappointed.

JHS is well over $100 in Australia. I thought the Donner & Flamma outperformed it handily, but the JHS is good for a straightforward clean digital thing. The other two are more like "character delays".

I love my little Mosky Blue Delay and Mooer Reecho. The TC Electronic Gauss is another good one. But that Mosky is probably the best for under $50!

I'm always curious about which pedals are actually "analog". As I understand it, for example, the Behringer is actually an analog pedal using BBD chips, while the Blue delay is a digital delay emulating analog sounds. I'd be willing to bet that many (if not most) of these "analog" pedals are actually digital.
@NoFearGuitarGear4 ай бұрын
You are correct. These are designed to deliver an analog delay sound, but most are in fact digital.

I liked the yellow fall best for overall sound. The JHS is great with the options so cost yellow fall, features JHS.

7:00 thats even funnier because the one that advanced is actually a digital delay made to sound kinda analog lol

I have the TC Electronics Echobrain and for how inexpensive it was it is a good sounding delay pedal. However, there is one annoying thing about it that didn't have to be that way. The name of each control knob should not be printed above each knob. Because what happens is you kneel down to adjust your controls and if you haven't already memorized what each knob does you can't see the lettering above those big tall wide knobs. I discovered that the first time I put it on my board and took it to a gig and had to adjust it on stage. Always label the controls under the knobs. The next day I printed out the names in bold lettering and taped them under the knobs.

So I’m enjoying the Nux analog chorus .. bought it after seeing your chorus pedal competition… and I watched this one because I was curious what you thought of the Behringer analog delay that I’ve been using the last few years.. bummed it didn’t even make it past the first round 😬.. I really like mine, although I only have it mostly as just a mild slap back kinda thing.. but at under $30 I’m happy w it! ..

@dwstoeckel4740 thanks for sharing those insights as an owner of the Behringer. Sounds like we need to take a fresh look at that one, thanks!

That's actually one of my favourite chorus pedals. My absolute fave cheap Chorus pedal is the Joyo Analog Chorus. I prefer it to a CE-2 lol

I got a JHS 3 series delay mint condition for 50 bucks. You can get most of the 3 series now cheap. Some of those cheaper effects are microphonic. JHS pedals are a great entry point

Capitan chin strap beard is not necessary. I came over from the under $100 overdrive video and it was weird that all the sudden he was here and “hosting” the video…. Also weird that he was there in the beginning then all the sudden he was green screened in? Weird.
@rogerwalker91915 ай бұрын
..I think you should have the "Letter-A or B" shown on screen all the time he's playing to indicate Exactly what one we're hearing. I'm distracted, When you do show pic of pedals it's like, "Is that one I just heard or the one he's gonna' play now?" I may be slooow as I'm a Newb?🎸🎶

The JHS is disqualified, as it is the only full sized pedal out of all those tested. Perhaps it should be competing against Strymons etc 😉 Great show guys!
@NoFearGuitarGear9 ай бұрын
Thanks Jim. We did limit the entries to under $100, not thinking as much about the format. A number of the least expensive high value pedals are in that smaller format. In the future we would love to put that JHS against a few other similar pedals, if we can find some similar in price. Great feedback, thanks.
