This is not a question but a testimony This year 2019 in August I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, blood clot, tumor and inflammation in my brain. I started changing my diet through eating lots of vegetables and took 5g to 10g a day. In Oct I had another MRI and surprisingly all my illnesses are gone. I believed that Vitamin C helped me healed.

take regardless to anything. Vitamin C (As much as you want) + Vitamin D3 400-1000 everyday. and if you can add multivitamin you can eat what you want because you get those from pills and in much larger amounts that the body can fix more problems

@@janicepaul9957 Nearly all vitamin C is the same ... L-ascorbic acid, is the kind all mfg's make (no exceptions), and is the most beneficial type. Don't buy the hype that one brand is better than another. If you do powder get it so it is as white as possible. Powdered AA should be bright white, sodium ascorbate should be the color of fresh banana flesh or brighter.

Three times my appendix was screaming big time. In each case I took a large amount of vitamin "c" and that resolved the problem. I also, long long ago, used vitamin "C" to fight colds and flu, but only when they occurred. Each time, things got better and better. Then, the outcome of this was having no more colds nor flu for several decades. Over those years, the worst case was having to blow my nose, once.

I noticed my mood is not as sluggish I feel like getting up early and moving around And I purchased a treadmill several months ago and I started having a sore tailbone but AFTER consuming Vitamin C over two weeks no more soreness praise God ! This is my second video I've watched of yours and I'm very impressed. I see these are older videos. I hope you are still making videos. I am a respiratory therapist and you nail it so hard on the head about doctors not knowing a lot of things. Same with respiratory. They have no real hands on experience. They don't do the amount of training as we do in respiratory either. I see so many incorrect things done by them. I want to continue watching your videos as for myself, i have leaky gut mix with new new allergies ( from the leaky gut). All started from a long term Infection that was over looked. I was a top athlete and only ever been sick 2 times my whole life, until age 35 when this all happened. Then this all happened. Now I'm extremely malnutritished, even with me eating healthy. I'm on glutamine just recently ( I watched that video. Thank you!!!) And taking vitamins. I hope to repair the issues. I'm backing off my workouts to let my body heal. I've also been having repeated SIBO because of it. I want my health back. I'm researching as much as possible. This has been a 3 yr terrible journey, until functional medicine started to direct me in the right direction

My experience with Vitamin C is huge, this Liposomal Vitamin C which you can search youtube and you will find out how its made, my friends dad was about to go to surgery for tumor (wasn't defined if cancer or not) in his throat which caused him to loose his voice completely, I made liposomal Vitamin C for him he consumed it twice a day for 3 weeks, got his voice back no surgery needed and he is still with his voice up to today which is 4 year later.

First I'd like to say...I really like your mission statement. I appreciate your time making these videos to help the average person understand the often confusing world of vitamins, minerals, co factors , amino acids & their function in our bodies including neurological influence. I know many benefits of vit c already but I didn't know of it's importance in the role of dopamine. I have ADHD and after years of having stimulant medication and a decade of extreme stress, night shift Im dealing with digestive anxiety, sleep issues . Now I have to run or do something cardio everyday because if I don't I get fluid retention feel toxic inflammation in previous injuries. I can't during these times handle any stress because mentally I just can't deal with anything. It hurts to think I feel like I have a bad hang over . There were years of emitting really strong ammonia and I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at the age of 48. When I fractured my ankle and couldn't run or move at fast enough pace to flush through the toxicity, I just felt hideous and depressed. I supplement with high strength krill oil magnesium vit D3 and K2 nac has helped somewhat with the brain toxic feeling but it's getting expensive trying all these supplements . I've been a guinea pig for so many amino acids too. I've just brought some rhodiola to experiment with the fatigue and overwhelm I'm struggling with now plus the vitamin c. I have high cholesterol but it is more likely because I have a diet that leans towards chocolate or sweet foods. I rarely eat refined carbs or processed takeaways. I don't drink but I have the ADHD reward seeking in the form of chocolate and coffee 3 per day. I'm just feeling like my body is starting to breakdown and I'm so used to being physically fit and strong even my back makes crunching sounds when I'm lying down and roll over or something. Yes blah blah I don't know what I'm asking really . just good advice that you don't get from your GP .

Super great video! This might help some people. I suffer from cold sores. I used to get these when under stress, usually about one every 3 months. They were quite bad - always in the same place. I tried EVERYTHING. The blister usually lasted about 4/5 days and would damage my lip. This would take another 7 days to repair the skin - so basically 2 weeks from start to finish. I started a vitamin C flush program and was taking initially about 15/17 grams before saturation. Now I'm down to 4 grams daily. I've had 1 outbreak in a year. This lasted for 1 day. It was a minor bump and didn't even damamge my skin. The vitamin C obliterated it. Oh and as a bonus, I've never been sick or even had a cold in this time while everyone around me has been ill. Trust me, I was usually the first person to be ill. Vitamin C IMO is a miracle treatment. The RDA for vitamin C is useless for me. I believe you've got to take it in grams to get its benefits.

When I become a registered nurse and told by doctors that vit c can cause oxalate formation, I stopped. Then it was also the start of having flu 2-3 times a year or more, and feeling tired. I start searching literature online, they are saying the same. But my personal experience to vitamin C supplement say something different. It’s been long time to find this info. Thanks

Chris Sale , I am a biochemist and a clinical pharmacist , I understand the oxalate concern , but Vit C causes more oxalate to be excreted in urine , and also inhibits oxalate formation with calcium , thereby stopping formation of kidney stones , in essence most western physicians do not know the chemistry and physiological functions of vitamin c . You should keep taking high doses of Vitamin C to prevent diseases and infections , you should check out orthomolecular.org it is a peer reviewed study based collection of studies and abstracts that have been done , excellent resource thanks Dr Dave

@Zoe-Holistic Health - Love you Question Zoe! A carnivore diet will eventually cause scurvy. This is not a hypothesis, it is a truth. This is already proven, and was the big problem with sailors eating a meat based diet. A long term carnivore diet should definitely be supplemented with C to prevent scurvy. Keep in mind that scurvy symptoms can take quite a while to develop. It is hypothesized that humans lost the ability to produce vitamin C as a benefit (not a detriment). The enzyme that helps to produce vitamin c from glucose (gulonolactone oxidase) creates hydrogen peroxide as a byproduct. Some speculate that not forming this oxidizing substance on a regular basis through vitamin C production is actually an evolutionary advantage that led to a reduction in free radical formation. You can read more about this concept here - www.nature.com/scitable/topicpage/the-mystery-of-vitamin-c-14167861/

So I made up my mind and heart that I will exhaust every vestige of knowledge before I go down that path. I am learning so much. I'm going to buy the book this weekend if I can find it locally. I have a serious question. If I buy USP pharmaceutical grade Vitamin C, why does it matter if Corn was used as the base chemical? We are talking about a refined molecule in pure form. There should be nothing left of the base chemicals in the final product. As an example: All soap is made with Lye, but soap does not contain Lye, because it is transformed in the reaction.

L-ascorbic acid is not acidic enough to harm you in any way. Your stomach acid is way more acidic. When I found I had systemic super-high homocysteine-induced inflammation and having heart issues as a result, I started taking 40,000mg (40g) per day at about 4g 10 times per day in tandem with half as much lysine per day. This is the amount I needed before hitting bowel tolerance and my body was using it up. Over the last 5 years, it has dropped to just 10,000mg per day to reach BT levels. This was all ascorbic acid and never harmed my gut one iota. Some of this info is inaccurate. Ascorbic acid isn't dangerous, nor is it dangerous to use corn-derived ascorbic acid. The only thing that comes out of it is C6H8O6... L-ascorbic acid.

Dr Linus Pauling, received 2 Noble Prizes for his research in related fields of medicine , and vitamin C . He has shown with positive confirmed studies that high dose vitamin c will prevent and cure diseases , IE cardiovascular disease , he showed that high doses of vitamin c along with lysine actually reversed and cured atherosclerosis , but sadly his findings were just passed over because there was not a significant financial reward for the physicians , Look up orthomolecular. org peer reviewed studies excellent resource I am a biochemist and a clinical pharmacist that treats patients and have seen very positive results with myself and patients Dr Dave

I am curious. As the gut has a limit as to how much ascorbate/ascorbic acid it can consume, after which you will just get diarrhea. There is lyposomal vitamin C. Which because it is rapped in lipids is fully uptaken in the gut via a different gut channel (as opposed to the gut glucose channels Vitamin C uses). So they say. I haven't seen evidence yet of increase C within cells as a result of Lyposomal C, though it is often quoted. Since it is absorbed directly into cells actual serum C may not be altered. I do have my reservations, though I think the Riordan Clinic sells the stuff I believe. ANYWAY regular C, keeping Serum C up of course is important. If you look at the Serum C of people with various conditions - Diabetes, Sepsis, Arthritis etc...the levels of C are severely depleted. If you have sepsis your C levels have fallen around 80%. No doubt why some years ago when a family demanded a hospital administer Intravenous Ascorbate, the patient very near death had an almost immediate improvement, and ended up in rapid full recovery, instead of certain death. With regard to Collagen - also note that Vitamin K2 protects against the degradation of Elastin in tissue, and K2 levels drop significantly as you age....i.e. wrinkles, vascular disease and so on. SO get Vitamin k2 as well, Natto, Kimchi, supplements.

It isn't gut tolerance that's the issue. Once you exceed 400 mg a day all the rest is eliminated by the kidneys. There have been numerous studies confirming this level. And of course the function of the kidneys is to eliminate toxins. So, it would seem past the 400 mg level the body must consider anything more a toxin.
@AntonyReed
@AntonyReed 4 жыл бұрын
@@cutabove9046 it's actually said to be anything over 200 mg, but both are false. Yes, a super healthy person may not need more vitamin C over 200 mg, so the body excretes any excess in urine. If the amount exceeds around 5000 mg (on average) for an average healthy person, they may even reach bowel tolerance. However, this is not the case for those who are ill. Your body will take in as much vitamin C as needed at any given time. The sicker someone is, the more their body will absorb and use. We can see this by measuring vitamin C content in their urine. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnynZHWOgZ14iaM Determining Oral Doses of AscorbicAacid - Titrating to Bowel Tolerance orthomolecular.org/library/jom/1981/pdf/1981-v10n02-p125.pdf -------------------------- You may want to get your hands on the book, Ascorbate: The Science of Vitamin C, by Drs. Steve Hickey and Hillary Roberts. Hickey has a Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Manchester and spent about ten years in research at the Manchester Medical School and associated hospitals. He had initially trained as a biologist specializing in pharmacology, later switching to biomechanics and medical physics. In addition to degrees in physiology and computer science, Hilary Roberts' University of Manchester Ph.D. was on the effects of early life malnutrition. She spent ten years in research and teaching at the university. According to Hickey, ""Since Linus Pauling's death, there seemed to be a great deal of misinformation. The NIH had performed some questionable experiments and were making the apparently ridiculous statement that blood plasma and tissues became saturated with low doses of vitamin C. There was no mainstream research on high doses and the establishment was making wild extrapolations from their low dose data. We could not see how a clinical trial with 200 mg of vitamin C, for example, could be used to suggest that higher doses were not effective. The work of physicians like Robert Cathcart, Archie Kalokerinos and Abram Hoffer intrigued us. The reported effects, especially of intravenous vitamin C, were astounding. It was difficult to find any reason to explain the lack of scientific follow-up. We had friends and relatives that were sick or dying from diseases that high dose vitamin C was claimed to cure. Eventually, we felt we had no choice but to write the book." Dr. Roberts adds: "Most RDA standards are based on data which was not measured in actual experiments on real people. Even the small amount of data from the 19-30 year-old subjects, who were measured, is based on neutrophils, a white blood cell type that is known to have unusual vitamin C biochemistry, along with an exceptional ability to pump the vitamin into itself. Neutrophils have ascorbate levels from 25-60 times that of the surrounding plasma. This cell type is not a reliable model for the whole body." Source: www.doctoryourself.com/ascorbate.html When I first started on high dose vitamin C, I had become very sick and suffering from systemic inflammation and heart issues. I started taking 40,000 mg (40 grams) of C per day in about 10 divided doses. It was only after taking-in more than this amount that my stomach would start to rumble, telling me that was enough. This told me this was the proper amount for me. After about 6 months, the amount it took to reach bowel tolerance started to decrease slowly. Over 2 years' time I was down to half (20,000 mg) daily. Today, 6 years after starting, I can reach bowel tolerance at about 6-7 grams and I have no further health issues.
