Vitamin C is No Joke- Obey the Vitamin C - Thomas DeLauer
We learn a lot from our fellow mammals. One mammal that I recently learned a cool fact about is GOATS! And no, not Greatest Of All Time G.O.A.T., but the actual animal. You see, goats get sick the least out of all other mammals on this PLANET!! Shocking, right? We need to look into why is this to truly understand how us humans should use vitamin C! Let's dive in and I'll see you in the COMMENTS!

And, your advice that i can figure out how much will work best for MY body, is also a gift. The “One size fits all” approach is not going to get any of us to whatever our individual bodies can tolerate and then needs to be sufficient, isn’t found on the label of any vitamin C we can buy. Again, many thanks; and I look forward to learning more about this subject!🤗

Excellent presentation and very done putting together all those pieces. I too have studied those pieces and this is my slightly different conclusion: Animals that do not produce their own vitamin C do produce a lipoprotein molecule called LP (a). Animals that do produce their own vitamin C do not produce the LP (a) molecule. LP (a) looks like LDL but with a tail. LP (a) can not attach to LDL receptors. The LP (a) tail looks like Plasminogen which is used by the body to clear damage but LP (a) is used for clotting. Presumably because of the lack of vit-c and the lack of proper collagen formation, LP (a) takes the place of the missing collagen and at least temporarily prevents the breakdown of the blood vessel wall, thus preventing a heart attack. Remember, animals that produce their own vitamin C don’t get heart attacks…

Hey, Man! it's really great that you're advocating mega dosing of vitamin C! (-: Just an important accuracy and clarification note: 13,300 mg of vitamin c that goats produce daily when they're healthy, is much much more than 50 times what the human RDA is...the human Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) is between (in different countries) 40mg (The United Kingom) to 100mg (South Korea). So, they produce 133 times more vitamin c daily when healthy, than the upper developed word Human RDA , and 332.5 times more, than the lowest Human RDA. Ascorbic Acid is only 1 part of the entire c vitamin, it's almost always synthezised in China and may cure deficiencies but maybe... Taking camu camu or Acerola powder is the fruit version and given its availability online there's no reason to take anything but a good whole c source like camu camu or acerola. Even use recipies to make your vitamin c supplementation turn from a routine chore to drinks and tart desserts that have you accidentally getting your needs, like humans have always done.
@EricV-lq3jq

Also, things like liposomal and ester c aren't needed for most people or perhaps all people because vitamin c in acerola, camu camu, lemons, etc all work adequately and Vitamin c isn't too tough to get anyways, like calcium most sources work.

Thomas, when you have lack of vitamin C you get scurvy. This is basically the breaking down of the material surrounding the blood. I read somewhere that this is the same for the arteries - lack of vitamin C leads to scurvy of the arteries. You basically get blood leaking through the arteries like your gums. So your body then is forced to clot the leakage. Whats worse, is if you clear out the arteries, using supplements like nattokinaise and serapeptase, and don't have enough vitamin C this can lead to issues of blood leaking again and more clots. So supplementing with vitamin C is essential for heart health - both prevention and repair. You should look into and do a video on Liposomal vitamin C - like the one produced by LivOn. This product works wonders and there is no bowel tolerance.

It has the ability to pull out copper and interact with minerals. Vitamin C is great but need to follow some protocol in case of megadosing.

There is no safety concern. Vit C is water soluble so you excrete the excess through urine. Totally safe.

So, what are we talking about here, Vitamin C or ascorbic acid? Wouldn't megadoses of "Vitamin C" actually be using ascorbic acid, which is only one component of the Vitamin C complex? I agree that in times of stress and illness we need more, but in the normal day-to-day, I think megadosing is a bad idea. It's just not natural to intake such supraphysiological doses.
