I appreciate your take on the Caleb and Aria situation. Sooo many people got the vibe that Caleb was into Aria but he was just a genuine guy trying to help a girl that's madly fallen in love with him because she's experiences what a normal kind partner should act like.

The couples that left apparently did have production’s blessing. Micah and Chanel have talked about not liking how much pressure they were under to say or do certain things for storylines. When they kept pushing back and then said they wanted to leave production allegedly backed down, but they’d had enough and jumped ship anyway. Vanessa didn’t feel safe with Nick. I don’t think I would have wanted to stay either if I were her. This show was a mess!

I really think JR was like that guy who was picked on as a kid (based on what he said about being made fun of as a kid) and got buff at the gym and suddenly had attention from women he hadn’t had before. And now he doesn’t know what to do with himself and his inner incel has just turned into this gross man. He needs to work on his internal as much as he is working on his body. Also, you can food portion and weigh food without it being an eating disorder. Especially if you do things like train for body building competitions. But most people know that’s specifically training based, for limited time windows, and you don’t drag it to a restaurant with a partner or friend. Like ideally you have gotten good at eye balling at some point so that you can eat with others without fixating over portions and food weight.

JR is clearly also weighing his food because he's a PT and it's literally his job to look a certain way. The reality is that if you want to have a physique like him for whatever reason, measuring and counting your food is the only way. Most people don't have restrictive ED thought patterns, I'd argue the other kind of ED is much more prevalent

@@AntoniaG1991Actually a lot of people who are Personal Trainers or in fitness have eating disorders. Eating disorders aren’t about results, its about obsessive control because you fear what will happen under non-obsessive control. That may or may not lead to extreme anorexia or bulimia, but it does not make it any less an eating disorder just because its aiding the results you want for your job. There has to be reasonable balance.

Interesting to see people watch Caleb and Aria and call that platonic. They didn't have sex but they definitely got very intimate with each other beyond a "friendship" level. He even admitted to developing feelings for Aria during the process but he didn't want to hurt Mariah so he lied about having feelings for her. They mutually held hands lol if you feel comfortable interacting with anyone in that capacity while also claiming to be "committed to your relationship with your partner" I'd definitely say you're dancing on a very thin line. The way he interacted with Mariah after his trial marriage was also very telling lol but hey, everyone lives in the reality they want to believe in.

People are totally glossing over the fact that Caleb admitted to having feelings. He had Aria looking desperate af during the show, and now that he himself admits to have feelings people are like "Yeah, no. Things were strictly platonic, she's pathetic." That attitude is exactly why Aria pressed the issue during the reunion.
